    That's all good and well, I never insinuated that Tkachuk and Sergachev were definitively better picks than Juolevi. I only said that the people harping on the pick weren't targeting Juolevi as a player. I still don't think Juolevi is a whipping boy.

    I don't see that as putting Juolevi down, I see that as putting our scouting staff down and management down. Although I can see why people would take it the wrong way.

    In what way is he a whipping boy. His odds of reaching his potential have lessened because of the injuries he's had so far in his career. I don't see many people $&!#ting on Juolevi for being Salo reincarnated. It's just unfortunate.

    Olli Juolevi was barely competent in his own zone at the AHL level last year. In what world will he be able to vie for a spot in the NHL come September after a major injury? Kid needs to develop for at least another year.

    Panarin is the only UFA who will be worth the contract he commands as a UFA. Good for the Rangers if they can sign him for under 12 million. EDIT: People comparing the Rangers going after a top winger in the game vs us chasing JT Miller and Myers. Just lol.

    When I watch this kid skate I can't help but think there's untapped potential there. He moves his feet really fast but almost in a similar vein to Jason Garrison where his skates are near parallel and he's not getting much 'push' off each stride.

    The only Canucks jersey I've bought to date. Luongo was above else an entertainer. Every time he windmilled a glove save it brought a huge smile to my face. Enjoy retirement Bobby Luo!

    That's an awful plan. The Avalanche have a wicked core but their forward depth needs some work I thought this trade was because they were 100% landing a top forward UFA.

    I just wanted one thing, a quiet draft. I hope this turns into an Ottawa situation so we can dump Benning in at least two years. That's enough time to salvage this cores window. Awful, awful trade.

      Tbh, some of the rumours I heard today (that Benning chuckled at when asked about them) had me worried.  I was really glad to hear JB remind us today that he is being very careful to rebuild by adding young guys who fit in with his group.

    100% Benning is targeting Bogosian, he had to let go of Gudbranson due to fan pressure and is looking to replace his truculence while addressing our RD situation.

    What bunch of spiteful losers in this thread. It's not Loui's fault he's not a good player anymore, that's how ageing works. If you had eyes you'd see him putting in the effort to at least be serviceable on the defensive side of things. Blame Benning for that garbage contract, and the future garbage contracts to replace Loui's this offseason.

    If we signed Duchene either he or Pettersson is moving to wing. There is no reason to have that kind of center depth when we are struggling to slot in quality wingers.
