Nothing bad can happen by acquiring a 30 year old swede with 6+ million cap for the next 6 years. I dont think anyone ever said he still has some good hockey left in the tank when we first signed Loui.
2.42 ppg was last year and it was in J18 Elit, which is not a tough league. For example Oskar Jellvik put up similar numbers in that league in the same year and is expected to be a 6-7 round pick this year.
I do not have him in my top 10, more of a 11-15 kinda guy but him and Lucius are two centers that could go top 10 if a team likes them. I just personally prefer Guenther, Johnson, or McTavish over them.
Take him with our last pick on the draft, could just have been a bad decision, mostly likely not the monster people painting him to be. People make mistakes, doesnt sound like he denied what he did and he was open in the investigation.
If Johnny Hockey was 6'1, played center, and was better defensively I think most people would want him on their team. Johnson does have very high hockey IQ and elite skill usually translates well to NHL as long as you can play a NA style hockey.
