I do too put that wicked shot to good use?

all good points. Which is why I think maybe a change of scenery might be what he needs. Is it worth trading tanev for him? Tough call. I think with Guddy being as they are both right handed shut down D, and Tanev being in his prime and starting to wear down a bit it might be worth the risk. Especially if Subban ends up being able to translate his game to the pros and we are able to somehow get Liljegren at the draft. Or like I said As much as I like Sutter A swap of him and the Nuge would be ok as well I just get this feeling, with JB already saying he will add more top 6 talent this summer.and Tanev or a package of either Sutter or Edler being are best chances to do that I think 2 of those 3 are gone by the end of the draft.;l JB likes Sbisa He was right to get him he had done nothing but shut up all the haters by his play this year. I doubt JB lets him go for free. btw do you know when the ex draft is? Ps I think Tanev plus could get a deal done. based on the points you brough up Tanev may not be flashy buy he is elite at what he does. and tho fans may not see that Scouts and GMs do

I would even do a trade for Ryan for Sutter The oil are going to be up against it when it comes to the salary cap and that trade saves them 2 million a year. Plus they are just wasting him on the 3rd line. If they wanted more we could add a pick or take back a bad contract. We will have over 17 mill to spend with only Bo as the big fish to sign. Plus the cap is going to go up as well. Sutter is a great 3rd line centre. and if in the future we needed to move the Nuge the wing. He would be fine there.

Well, I think Tanman is worth more than we give him credit for, which is ironic cuz most of us overvalue our players lol. I think Tanev A 2nd and a b rated prospect gets us Duchene From all reports for whatever reason 2 different coaches have yet to get him back to 3 seasons ago Maybe it is him? maybe not I would take the chance. Plan B is always ( keep in mind I'm holding back the puke as I write this cuz it would improve the oilers quite a bit) is Tanev a3rd for the Nuge and the oilers first. Tanev > Larsson. Hall> Hopkins. Keeping in mind inter-conference trading is always a bit taboo. Unless you are from the south lol.

We are thinking along the same path. I just had in my scenario getting into the top 8 using sutter Edler and picks and retaining A bad contract to balance out the books. And grabbing a guy like Liljegren If we could walk out of the draft with either Patrick our Nico with our pick. And then nab Liljegren with the pick we traded for We would be in pretty good shape. The players I mentioned may need to be adjusted so if someone wants to laugh at my proposal. At least give your own example. Liljegren from what some scouts have said is at the very least AHL ready. Maybe NHL ready. Sutter can be replaced by Patrick or nico or even Dahlen if his club lets him go. From what I have read if he signs a pro contract over here he has to be released,

Why Hutton or Sbisa.? they won't fetch much and are both far from their prime. If we are going to rebuild it should be Eds And Tanev Tanev would give us a great return, If not keep him. Eds would get us a better return then Hut or pizza IMO. And only one needs to be traded in order for us not to lose Sbisa in the ex draft. I've said it before. I think Tanev is going to the Avs. Edler can be packaged up with Sutter and picks if needed. we take back a bad contract to balance out the books and move into the top 8 and grab Liljegren Devils might make a good partner. Are we still able to retain salary? I know we are with bobby lou. Is there anyone else still?
-
They can't as far as I know They wouldn't have to anyway. I do hope if they trade its before the expansion draft Sbisa is totally underrated IMO -1 on a 29th place team is pretty good. People who defended him last year said play him in his proper role on his proper side and he will be fine. This year they did that for the most part. He may not get the points, but he reminds me of an LH poor man's Tanev I would hate to lose him.
-
Totally agree I think Tanev is used to get someone like Duchene. I would not trade him unless we got back a guy that suits our needs, or a very good pick and prospect
-
The thing is WE may see Edler as error prone. Only because we see him night in and night out. He is also playing way too many minutes and would do better not be relied on so much. If we were to watch every king's game or preds game we would see Doughty and Subban with their fair share of mistakes. The bottom line is He is still a top 4 d on any team and when he was hurt last year the Canucks went through there worst stretch of hockey all season. I am on board with trading him, only because we have a logjam of young lhd ready for their shot. Cheers
-
Wanna tell me why the knights would pass on Edler and take who Gaunce? Most teams would love to have Edler. Our pathetic fanbase enjoys picking on a different player every year. Ask fans from other teams most say Edler is one of the few Canucks they wouldn't mind having. Fans that know if you played Edler a little less and gave him top 4 minutes the guy would excel If he is here next season. I hope the new coach does just that. ps I d0ont mean all of our fans are pathetic. Just most lol

I am an Edler fan. When it comes to trading I think both he and Tanev should be considered. if were going to maximise on assets, especially with Tanev now would be the time. Edler said no to A trade once with Gillis literally a month after his NTC kicked in. Asked when Garrison was s traded, he said if the Canucks approached him he would waive as well if it meant going to a team that wanted him. He said he understands now not to take thing so personally. He was just upset because Gillis asked him so soon to it kicking in and he had for the first time in his career the choice of where he wanted to play. IM sure and no I have no source just guessing. JB had had A talk with all our guys with ntc and doubt he has faced any backlash. These players are human fisrt, players second. would you stay with a company if another company wanted you and the one you were currently at didn't. Especially when the Canucks are shifting gears and The older guys, especially on D, are being replaced with younger guys

You should read Wilbur's whole response instead of just taking what he said out of context. btw He is way better than Bonino on both sides of the puck. Sutter can score !7 goals on a bad wrist on the mess of the Canucks. he is a tad overpaid but nothing like some of the real bad contracts out there. I have noticed you agree with everybody. Even if it contradicts what you have posted or something someone else said. You are a nice guy, who never has a bad thing to say to about anyone. Maybe cats make you forget things you have say. Have A great day Alf
-
Make jokes 17 goals in 68 games is pretty good for a third line guy who gets whipped cuz most nuck fans don;t know anything about hockey except gm mode on nhl 17 not saying you fwiw
-
Don't usually agree with Alf. And I'm not fully here either. Hutton is 2 much. Col has enough young offensive guys and if they can't replace Duchene via another trade most likely they will if they get the first pick this year and do it that way. Sutter brings a lot to the table that some nuck fans don't seem to see. He is a great 2-way centre who can score 20 while shutting down the top lines and being over 50@ in the draw. Plus he is on a pretty good contract. I actually think Sutter isn;t going anywhere. he is one of the better 3rd line C"s in the league and we have nobody to fill that role unless they give Gaunce another shot. For 6 months the Tanev to col won;t go away If JB does trade Tanev or Edler or both. I hope one of those deals is for Duchene If it came down to the nuge or Duchene for Tanev . I take Matt. Oil would have to add their 1st maybe we throw in a 4th. I really think Edler and Tanev are gone at the draft. no point in him playing bottom 5 minutes especially if we sign guddy and oj and Subban are given a look it makes them both expendable and would help us speed things up.For me, I see a top 4 next year of troy tram Guddy and Hutton Than hopeful oj Subban Sbisa if he isnmt a knight can fill 5-6-7. And maybe bring in someone for depth.

Funny how the last two games he has played the most ice time this year, and had had his two best games of the year.He still needs to get his shot going and continue to hit like he did against the Oilers. I think all that will come with regular minutes and not sitting 15 mins in a row and then take mainly only defensive draws. Keep him with BO-Bar let them actually gel together. Same with the triplets, these guys are old enough where they can figure it out on their own. For as sub-par as they have been, considering their standards there still on pace for 50 points each lol. We all know they will find their game and all finish like we thought they would

Yup all players under contracs in may are available. Contacts end July 1st and the expansion draft is in may.

I was in the camp of letting Troy get sent down, but after last night and the way Larson hung Marky out to dry on that goal. reminded me of Webber last year The offensive is a wash at best, but Troy seems to be a much better D so far Going to be a tough decision.
-
Damn I alway's get a little scared when it comes to college picks with the whole being able to control their own destiny, but I think Brock is not that kind of guy thank god. got Troy to sign here or at least helped and seems like he is already A canuck. Guy comes from A good family and I hope he ends up being a top line winger with us. Seems like no matter who is on his line he is the driving force. Hobey Baker this year maybe?

Tkachuk had A great memorial cup no doubt.what people are trying to say is the underlying issues are more evident in Him. For example Brock played last year in a league full of men. He also was the driving force on his line and also played lights out without them. What people are saying about mat is his skating is sub par, He doesn't lead his line shown by how many secondary assists he had. As for his transition to the NHL his style worries a lot of people since he isn't and get's most of his goals in front of the net and might get pushed around. only time will tell for both of them,

any reason why? He really should get a chance b4 you judge him. he may have a breakout year , or he could crash and burn, Regardless if you make up a mock lineup tthat you think they are going to roll with, You cant just delete them or your not creating a plausible lineup. that would be like inserting your fav player pld lol
-
wood that(see what i did there? lol) make them Frodo and Bilbo Baggins lol

I think we already did. bear is legit. Granny is a good player and only 23, and Shink would have kept Gaunce down. imo Gaunce is beeter then shink. they put up similar numbers, and Gaunce can play anywhere, and can actually play defense. Plus where would shink play on the flames? my god if he somehow ends up on a line with jonny pee wee hockey. they would get creamed by guddy tree Edler etc. And the only time there in there back end is when they are either flying across the ice literally flying cuz they ran in into the concrete wall aka our D or when they are apologizing to elliot for allowing the 7th goal of the night, because they forgot that they are allowed to backcheck and won't trip over the blueline..
