I'm not sure of the rules. But if he comes in and just blows the camp away is he allowed to terminate his contract in the SHL? I know the chances are extremely thin. But if A guy shows he's ready and can contribute now Why wouldn't you at least have him in the AHL with Dahlen

Tsn lol they got the info from the same place you did. This is the same network who gave the Oilers an A on the 1st. Leafs to I think. Gave the nucks A c+. After JB made all solid moves that don't hurt the team at all. Both the D will help. Gags will help and burm is great defensively who still has offensive upside, and only signed for 1 year at 700k. Like I said Tsn is A joke who are using Botches rumour

Ya, i was typing another post about you.But b4 I did I thought I would read yours about me Way to take what I said and totally change it.? Why are you such A pretentious dick? I said I hate when people make predictions about how long A player will take to develop you POs Everyone loves to have fun predicting what A player might score. You have the perfect avatar A two faced little beach. I bet you're the type who watches the show and has no idea about the books.

I get A laugh when people sit on their computers and actually try to predict anything Canucks. Jakes iq was good enough to get him drafted 6th overall. Right around where many scouts had him pegged. Based on first his shoulder than making the club only to have his confidence shattered, to showing up out of shape and being basically spending all of the last year correcting the mistakes he and WD did on him it is unfair to say he has little Iq or he is A bust. He has spent all of the last year and this summer getting into shape. Last 10 games of the season he looked like the kid we drafted. I also think some people play better in the NHL compared to the Ahl. Jake is one of those guys IMO He thrives on that feeling you get when you're at the top of your profession. Look at baseball players. They will go to single A for rehab and go o for 4 or allow 10 runs on 15 hits. Being in the show brings out more in some people I hope im right and Jake is that kind of guy. All in all not worried about him. He is committed. And last year in my eyes was the real star of his career. given the injury. WD screwing him up and showing up overweight. He was rushed from the start and it screwed with his development. This year he will prove the haters wrong and score 20 get 50 points and knock MT MCdavid JG on their asses.

The good old days. now your lucky to get a fist tap on their way to the ice. Or watching the bad ass New westminster Bruins. God they were dirty to play against and fun as hell to watch.

Thanks. Could you imagine nowadays being able to get right in the bowels of rogers place? Life was so simple before. As A kid running out of your seat hoping to get close enough to the dressing room so you could get noticed.. Ha The smell my god was terrible.
-
ha so am I I still have his and Patrick Sundstrom's autographed stick.. Do you remember at the old pacific coliseum after games they would let A certain amount of kids back near the dressing room? Well I was decked out in head to toe in my jets gear So I got picked as one of the kids and Patrick first gave me his stick if I promised to become A canucks fan lol I think it was 86 and Petri skriko came over and gave me his stick and A game worn jersey I was in shock and promised to become A canucks fan. IN 1992 my Aunt who worked for the winnipeg free press has season tickets to the jets. I happened to be be visiting Winnipeg for A funeral and to cheer me up my Dad took me to the most famous game in Jets franchise history it was 1992 against Quebec when he broke mike bossy's record and threw his glove and shot it with his stick, what a game to be at.. Funny thing was just to be A dick I wore a canucks jersey ,and the Jets had this stupid mascot that kind of looked like the philly fanatic. well in good fun he pretended to fight me. it was all in good fun but I fell and twisted my ankle. Next thing I know I got a stick and jersey signed by the whole club. In hindsight should have sued their asses lol .

good comparison. I know most people get scared off by the fact he was an overager. But the way I see it is the reason overagers usually put up a ton of points is because by the time they are an overager they usually have had a pretty big growth spurt. Not the case in Petrus case. I admit I never really heard about him.. But i'm also the guy who thought JH would never make it so what the hell do I know lol. GMJB has always had A knack for findinding these type of late round steals. and I love we drafted his beast of A teammate in the second round. its like burt protecting nazzy and morrisson all over again lol. And Kole lind really intrigues me. Projected first rounder wonder why he slipped? And I wonder if that was the guy JB was talking about when he said he would consider moving both his seconds if the guy he liked was still there in the first. If he was glad it worked out cus the guy we got with our second 2nd round pick looks like an absolute steal. can never spell his name right. Only guy I would have wished fell to us at 33 or someone I might have given both 2nds for is Kim Kostin. Swear that guy is gonna be the next Kucharov or Kuznetsov. Can't believe he dropped to 30th

Pretty sick moves I hope people who see that quit crying about vanilla boy and beast man

Same here. When I was 16 one of the trainers at A place called extra innings, told me I needed to gain core strength and develop certain arm muscles that help with velocity. In one off-season I wen't from my fastest pitch at 77 to 84 mph. Might not sound huge. But especially as A lefty it made the difference from having the chance to go to college or not.
-
I don't get this 5-year crap. He might gain 15 pounds in the next 2 months and blow the roof off at prospects camp. Can't stand how people on CDC think they are scouts and their opinion actually means something. He will be ready when he is ready hows that for A timeline.
-
Well considering the fact that Gabe was the biggest dropper by far.Shows, as usual, another armchair gm who looks at the mock drafts to make his assumptions Casey also dropped and Cody is far inferior to Petterson when it comes to Talent. Every knock on Pett is his weight. Do A little research and you will find a lot of scouts saying he is the most talented player with the highest ceiling in the draft. Most feel Gabe won't even end up playing centre. Post like these just keep proving my point. You have no clue when petty will be ready it could be in October it could be in 3 years Same goes for Gabe Cody and Casey who will be the longest probably since he is going to college. And to say he maxes out as A 3rd line centre only proves you have never seen this kid play, or read the numerous scouting reports that say they haven't seen this type of player since Zetterberg. (not saying he will ever be him) Many scouts said if he were 180 he would have had the chance to go first overall. So congrats to us and to GMJB for having the balls to pick A guy who's true potential hasn't even been seen yet.

As I mentioned in a previous post. We seem to have these kids timelines figured out The truth is we have no idea what shape he will come to prospects camp in. He may blow the doors off and force himself onto this team, or at least Utica. He may need more time in Sweden. My point is We as fans need to stop pretending like we know what's going to happen in anything to do with the Canucks. Let's all hope this kid along with our other make it damn hard to send them packing. But let's not pretend for A second we as fans know the timeline of rare human specimens that possess elite genetics and A drive and dedication to their job that most of us could never come close to matching. Instead, of giving timelines based purely on A guess Let's take the time to go back and watch highlights of their career so far etc. And leave all the timelines to the Canucks. Cheers.

Very true and very refreshing post Thanks for getting what I was trying to say.

I always find your posts very well thought out compared to most of the stuff I read on here. But I think you and a lot of our fan base need to stop putting timelines and predictions on our team and its players. How can you say he is 5v years away.? The guy could put on 15 pounds this summer dom, inate prospect camp and make the club. Is that likely? no. But who are we to say how long someone who is so far above us when it comes to hockey skill the way these kids train nowadays .Not to mention the elite genetics and dedication that got hi,m this far to begin with. Your gonna tell me if he comes to prospect camp then pre-season and blows everyone away the Canucks won't at least keep him, in N.A? every time someone makes A prediction about A player, or A trade and say oh we would accept that. Justs makes us sound pretentious. We have zero clue what our gm would accept in A trade. All we can do is speculate. As for people saying we are x amount of years from winning the cup based on what exactly? it's been 50 and still, haven'tr one one. I hear people talking about how terrible we are going to be 4 the next 5 years and I'm tired of it. Are we Cup favourites of course not. Are we better than the Sens yes. Last year we lost more 1 goal games than anyone. We missed more man games than anyone. Every vet had A down year. This year we are a much better team going into the season than last . Goldie Brock Jake Possibly OJ and Subban. Fun fact. If our vets Hank Dank and louis can have better years. Not even huge years Hank maybe back to 60 points Dank maybe 20-23 goals Louis 20 goals. If Bo, Sven, and Granny can get an extra 10 between them. Throw in at least 30 from Brock Maybe 15-20 for Goldy 10-15 from Jake. Not even including the d or Dahlen who I think will make the team. That's like an extra 80 goals from last year. Without really being absurd. Based on all are 1 and 2 goal games and taking the loser point into/it I actually didn't give us any points from it, only the ones we already had. We would have finished with over 100 points. Yes I know it sounds impossible it's not. My point is we are only fans. We have no way of predicting things like the pros do. If things go right where they went wrong last year. We very well could be A team much closer to JBs first season. So let's stop being so damn pessimistic Sorry War hippy, wasn't singling you out

How far did Gabe drop again? The guy was overrated IMHO. He used his size against boys. I think he translates to A 3rd line winger So glad GMJB had the balls to take the kid who may be skinny but oozes high-end talent. I said this months ago whoever drafts him is getting the best player in the long run. Just imagine him at 190-200 his frame is solid and should easily support a huge weight gain. The guy was A beast at the combine. Sucks we missed out on Kostin by 2 lousy picks. Wish JB would have moved up to grab him.

wow, no takebacks lol.

2017 NHL Draft - Chicago, Illinois June 23-24 2017

My bad. Still, im sure ownership whi=o is on rocky ground would rather spend that money on current players Dallas wants to compete next year. they only have so long with the current players they have. And Dallas isn't known for a lot of strong prospects and have been linked to Oshie eberle And still need to find a solid shutdown defensemen. I don't think nill want's to go into next year with A bunch of unproven players given the fact they are really only A couple of players from being one of the top teams in the West Signing Bishop and willing to trade their 3rd overall pick does not sound like A team looking to add A bunch of rookies here's A quote from hockeys future who besides Honka dont' see a lot of gamebreakers... Weaknesses: As stated before, there is just a lack of overall game-breakers. The shine has really worn out on players like Jason Dickinson, Jack Campbell, and Radek Faksa. Also, outside of Ritchie, Honka, and maybe Shore there is no sure-fire talent. There are a lot of names in this pipeline, and options are good, but there is limited true quality across the board If your nil on A short leash do you not try to find A few ufas and get someone else to dump your goalies? All the while filling a major hole in Tanev? -

Have you even bothered to look at Dallas depth on the right side? its one of the most terrible in the league. Hence why they were 9th in foals against,Klingburg is A stud Wh o took A step back last year due to the partner eh Maybe A deal involving Edler and tTanev plus us taking back their goalies . who they cant afford to buy out both as they are right against the cap. As I've said before tho Philly makes way more sense since they only have one RHD and he is overpaid and sucks and would probably be part of any deal to acquire the 2nd Cheers -

Well, thats only to RHd. Have you seen there 3rd and 4th Red they are terrible is a complete understatement? They were 29th in goals against last year, and some say they are one maybe 2 shutdown d from being serious contenders. T he Stars need Tanev like we need A first line centre. Nobody else via trade or free agency is even close to what Tanev brings. That being said The difference between 3rd and 2nd is pretty big. Looking at the Flyers roster Their window is closing, tho not as fast as Dallas, Philly absolute needs A guy like Tanev They have no real need to draft A centre with Giroud Schenn Couturier and Khonecky, anhdI think A trade involving Tanev our 33rd our 5and A Mac as A cash dump makes them a playoff team next year The 2nd pick doesn't -

the guy was atop10 pick earlier this year I could be wrong but I think he was hurt a lot this year plus based on what Bob mac said he is the kind of player who might bolt to the KHl, that being said he may be the next Kucherov who had similar stigmas attached to him. seems to have worked out for TBL. -

He will be good once he puts on some weight., but I think Lilegren neikas or glass are our guys. All 3 might be able to step right into the NHL, Especially lilegren or neikas Both played against men all year. And in neikas case, he played in the top chezk league on the best team. His numbers don't jump out at you but he was playing on the 4th line. -
