  1. Colorado at #4 would jump all over it, but NO, I wouldn't trade Bo for #4 (if Byram was there).
  2. I'd love to see JB weaponize our cap space. Lucic is a tough sell though. 4 years at $6 million and a NMC is not gonna happen. One condition would have to be that the NMC gets annulled, and we'd have to get a real incentive on top of that to make a trade. I have no idea what a FAIR value is - there are lots of different opinions on that - but if it included their #8 pick without us sending our #10 pick back, then it starts sounding a lot more interesting. Having pick #8 and pick #10 would be huge - we'd get 2 top prospects, or could try to move up to get Byram. Lucic, #8 + a good prospect would be a nice return, but what would we send that would make the trade accepted by and beneficial to both sides??? I could certainly see Sutter as a part of the trade. Is Sutter enough on his own? Sutter at 50% retained (2 years, so it's no problem for our cap situation)? Add a 4th round pick? or do we need to throw in some other cap space like Schaller or Spooner? Just spit balling.... Anyway, if the Oilers were willing to include pick #8, I'd certainly look into it.
  3. Kapanen or Johnson if either can be obtained for a "reasonable" cost. NOT our 1st round pick though.
  4. Canucks need to convince Rosen to come over and play with EP next year
  5. Come on JB - trade someone!  I'm going crazy waiting!

Predicting that the Canucks don't make a move during the deadline. It's looking pretty bleak atm.

Hutton and Baer for Domi, after tonights game please.

Trade Vanek and Gagner and pick up Burr, let him end his career as a Canuck.

  6. Trade for Jannik Hansen and take that retention off the books, then trade the Sedins to a contender both at 50% retained.
  7. I was born and raised in BC, but married a Dane and moved to Denmark when I was 30ish. It was really hard to learn Danish as an adult, as I just couldn't make some of the sounds. My sons are perfectly bilingual and make fun of me whenever I try to say "brøl" ("roar" in english), as it comes out as "brød" (bread).
  8. VL won 3-0 today over Rogle. No points for EP.

    Anton Rodin | RW/LW

We should be hearing soon about what the Canucks plans are for Rodin. I really hope we sign him before July 1st.
  10. Power Play QB for Utica - maybe for the Canucks one day too?
  11. I liked MIttelstadt, but now I'm not so sure. I saw a video interview of him where he said he's always been pudgy... and is still pudgy and needs to lose some fat and put on muscle. So, at least he knows it... but you've gotta question why he is even in that shape at this stage of his career. I think I would go with Vilardi, Pettersson, Glass or even Necas. If we get 2 top picks, 2 centers or a center and a D would be a home run.
  12. 1st in Wingate, vertical jump and long jump. Wow! Projected as a late 1st round pick - wonder if he goes higher now.
  13. Apparently, Mittelstadt could only manage 1 rep in the bench press.
  14. Necas (6'1"), Hischier (6'1.5") and Glass (6'1.75") are all basically the same weight.
  15. NHL DRAFT COMBINE - weights and heights of the prospects (is being updated as each group is weighed/measured): http://thehockeywriters.com/2017-nhl-combine-heights-weights/ Necas is bigger than I thought. 6'1 and 178lbs
  16. There are a lot of teams that seem to be interested in D early in this draft. I wouldn't be too surprised if both Dallas and Colorado take a defenceman, and both Arizona and Buffalo also need D. I think if JB is planning on taking the best available center, he should leak some info that we are thinking of taking a Defenceman. If say Heiskanen and Makar go at the 3 and 4 spots, you've got to think that Arizona or Buffalo would start to panic a bit, and would be willing to trade up - ie swap with us to ensure they get the best available D remaining. They then take Liljegren, Vegas takes a center or maybe even Tippett, and that still leaves us picking a really good center (one of Vilardi, Mittelstadt or Glass). I read on the the Buffalo HF board, that they expect to take a D and would be willing to trade up using both of their 2nd round picks. If JB plays the 2 teams against each other he might even get Arizona's late 1st, or maybe a good young forwards like Duclair or Fischer... just for moving back a couple of spaces and picking the guy we want anyways. There should still be a lot of good players to pick from in the late 1st/early 2nd, so instead of 1 of these, we could get 2 or even 3.... Jokiharju, Vaakanainen, Joseph, Braanstrom, Thomas, Dolan-Anderson, Strome, Frost, Bowers, Boqvist, Mattheos, Mismash, etc.

  21. Google translate (not great, but you get the idea) "Motorist" Nikita Tryamkina released in North America March 6, 2016 Contract Nikita Tryamkina ends April 30, 2016 , but the defender turned to the club with a request to release him early, to go to North America . Recall Nikita drafted "Vancouver " . "Motorist" went to meet his pupil , so this season he will continue in Canada. Note that the right to remain in the KHL hockey player for our club . Nikita wish good luck!

  24. Chicago needs to get rid of some cap, so Sharp and Leddy could be legit. Even if they don't fit our needs, we could always flip them to another team or try to get a 3 way trade going for assests that fit our team better. Sharp at $5.9 million and Leddy at $2.7 million would give us a pretty darn good return on Keslers $5 million. From St. Louis, if they won't give up Tarasenko, I'd like: Schwartz + Rattie + 21st 2 good young wingers to go with all our center prospects.
