  1. In the 1st period last night, he made 2 great plays that really caught my eye. First he noticed his D partner was in trouble, he quickly found separation called for the puck. 2nd great play was immediately after the 1st, he took the puck and with zero hesitation fired the puck up the ice and made a bullet tape to tape pass too the other side of centre. At first I thought he was panicking and dumping it down the ice. Instead it was a very poised heads up play that led to an excellent scoring chance. I wish he could have had a few more shifts, but being the only tuning up game..... The rest of the D needed lots of game time too. re-cap... 1st great play- creating time and space immediately to bail out D partner. 2nd great play- quick pass that was tape to tape and led to scoring opportunity. Little things that are signs of excellent hockey sense.. And a bright future.
  2. I still have a original Battle cry towel from 82 game 3. I wave it around every time the Canucks are playing in the playoffs. My dream is to go to a playoff game in Vancouver and bring the old towel with me. I haven’t been to a game in Vancouver since 82. Hopefully it’s not another 30 plus years for me to see that dream become a reality.
  3. I think the Canucks will have a much better performance. I can stomach loosing to a week Sens team more than I can stomach a loss to any leafs team. Go Canucks Go!
  4. I have faith that the Canucks can turn this game from a turd into ice cream....
  5. If Marky has a Meniscus injury, then my understanding is that, it requires minor surgery and most time the athlete is back regular activity’s in 2-3 weeks. I guess there is always a chance when the doctor goes in to clean the knee up that more damage is found and recovery is longer. I’m no doctor, but a Meniscus injury is what I’m hoping Marky has. It fits in the current time line that the Canucks are giving. As for the game... Canucks win 6-2 Demko makes 43 saves. Go Canucks Go!
  6. And Shorty’s ICBC commercials. While I drink some good coffee, of course.
  7. Unfortunately tonight’s game starts at the same time as my 4 year olds last winter soccer game of the indoor season. She can’t miss it because she gets her participation medal. And that is everything. Guess it’s a PVR game.
  8. Thanks for doing up the game day Deb. I noticed earlier there wasn’t 1, and I thought about giving it a go. I’ve never done 1 before and I just didn’t have enough time. Deb, coming through in the clutch just like Demko is going to. 5-3 Canucks Go Canucks Go!
  9. Gotta start burying those rebounds, there everywhere. Dubs is not sharp. Take advantage. Crash the net. Get greasy.
  10. My eyes just couldn’t believe this trade, when I saw it this morning. I ran downstairs, turned on the TV too find out more. I was then further shocked to find out that TSN had only dedicated 35 minutes of there hour long sports highlight package to dissect this trade. Come on TSN, don’t you realize that the Cup is now coming Back To Toronto???? #Blockbuster.
  11. I was really worried that the stigma of playing at Coors field was going to keep Larry out. But enough voters finally got it right. He only got in by 6 votes, doesn’t get much closer than that. Watched his interview on Tim & Sid just after the news broke, and Larry was warring a Sponge Bob Square pants shirt. I really don’t think that he himself felt like he was getting in. It was pretty funny. Just a fantastic day for Larry and Canadian Baseball.
  12. Larry Walker gets voted into the Hall of Fame. So Awesome. So well deserved. Congrats Larry. I loved watching you play, so wish you could have won a World Series with the expos. Justice is finally made. Hall Of Fame!!!
  13. Yes, and by Winnipeg standards, quite an attractive one.
  14. Don’t tell me Louie don’t know empty nets. Just tap it home Louie..... Nice!
  15. I was wondering why the comments were not matching up with what I was watching. I forgot that I had paused my tv during the intermission and I was watching on delay. Oops! All caught up now.
