  1. Watched Lind play for the first time live this year on Wednesday in Lethbridge, compared to the few times I watched him play last year his commitment to the D Zone is much improved. He still takes the odd shift off, but he’s young. He had 2 goals and 1 assist. Including the ot winner. Offensive zone abilities are very impressive. If he can learn to play hard every shift he should make Team Canada next World Jr.
  2. If BB doesn't make the Canucks and is in Utica to start the year. Then does he make team USA for the Olympics? I personally think he should play in Utica this year, at least until the new year if not the whole season. As for the Olympics, I could care less about team USA, or any other team other than Canada. However if BB was to make the USA squad, I would attempt to watch some of there games as well. I think it would be an excellent development opportunity for Brock.
  3. As the first round was finishing up, I was keeping my fingers crossed that no one was going to take Lind. Then when the 2nd round started and the Canucks called his name. So awesome. Might only develop into a 3rd liner but he just seems to be a guy who the puck just follows around. Real nose for the net and a good deceptive shot. Nice job JB!
  4. Yes I did. Sorry. Hard to type and watch your kids at the same time. I'll edit it. Thanks.
  5. For those still mad about passing on MT and OJ. A little food for thought when it comes to draft picks and rookie years. Mind you this is only 1 example, but a very good one. San Jose 1991 NHL draft. #2 over all Pat Falloon rookie year. Gp 79 G 25 A 34 Pts 59 #23 over all(first pick 2nd round) Ray Whitney Gp 2 G 0 A 3 Pts 3 Second year Pat Falloon Gp 41 G 14 A 14 Pts 28 Ray Whitney Gp 26 G 4 A 6 Pts 10 Career Stats Pat Falloon Gp 575 G 143 A 179 Pts 322 Ray Whitney Gp 1330 G 385 A 679 Pts 1064 2 players taken by the same team a full round a part. One had an awesome rookie year and fizzled out. Another took some time to develop but went on to be the much better player. Not saying that's MT's fate. But I'm not going to get excited over someone's rookie year. It could be just the beginning and it could be there peak. Again. Just food for thought. Sometimes rookie years are deceiving.
  6. The best thing's that can come out of Boeser joining the Canucks for 8 games, where most of the teams they play are fighting for playoff position is; 1) Boeser gets to see where he needs to be, coming into camp in September. 2) Gives the Canucks a better look at what Boeser's current skill set generates at an NHL level. 3) It will also give us fan's an excellent chance to see in the fall how much he developed in the offseason. 1&2 are the most important, 3 is just for us. plus I don't believe playing in 8 or fewer games where the team is not winning much will hurt his confidence. Hopefully the work ethic of the D and H will influence his offseason, he will come to camp more hungry and confident than ever before.
  7. Great goal today. Used his speed and picked the corner at full flight. Beauty.
  8. I hope when he is all done, he signs a 1 day contract and retires a Canuck. As silly as the whole sign a 1 day contract thing is. Not only should he be a honoured Canuck but he should retire one as well, and I'm pretty sure he will. Long live Burr in the Blue and Green.
