Did he?
-
I have been a fan and still believe that he does not hurt the team being in the line up. I have also been thinking about why JV has not stepped up a bit more. 1. He is thinking about not getting out of position. He has be told over and over by Green that D is first. He has been benched over and over for leaving his position so I think he is over thinking the game right now. 2. I was remembering when he had that hit on a SJ player. Cannot remember the result (Ejected, suspended?) However, the next time we played SJ Joe Thorton did that blind hit on him which injured him. He seems to have been much more quiet since then. Maybe that got in his head. That kind of retribution is coming if he goes all out. This is my opinion and nothing more.

[Speculation] Canucks interested in Tyson Barrie
FaninMex replied to brian42's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
My buddy who is a die hard Leafs fan says Barrie is a Tire fire. -
Different coach. Different team. We shall see what happens. Some on this board have had some interesting suggestions for the power play. I thought move JV to JT spot then you have two shooters with QH to feed them. Then put two big bodies in front to cause havoc and it is a new look plus PP2 gets stronger. Just an idea and Green has to do his thing or continue to have @Dumb Nuck calling for him to be fired. LOL

Even in game 2 I felt that the Blues dominated only because the refs were not calling anything. Especially after that Sutter boarding. Game 4 I felt we were in it for the most part. For example, ROR came out of the corner we had 2 Canucks in the corner, 1 behind the net and 2 out toward the Blues D. ROR was practically able to walk in untouched. We were caught chasing and out of position. True the Blues carried the play a bit more but I do not think we were dominated.

I do not think that. It is more that the Blues are starting to play more team D and took advantage of 2 opportunities that the Canucks had lapses on. The Canucks have to make some adjustments on transition and pp but are not so far off that it warrens a doom and gloom attitude. I think the Blues have studied what the Canucks were doing on the PP and are anticipating. more than reacting. Will see how the coaches react to this.

I think that was the first game that the Blues had the play without the Refs holding their hands. I thought the refs were much better except for the Virt penalty at the end. Also, I think this is the first game our 3rd and 4th line got out played. We really need them to go and get us the energy back when the Blues push.

What a game!!! I just finished Some things that I noticed were; 1 Our 3rd and 4th lines were rolling. I think they were much better than what the Blues have. 2. Perron was trying to play the bully until the 3rd. After roughing up Petey, Edler steamrolled him as he was coming off the bench and Perron was trying to leave the zone. It went to commercial after but you could see Perron getting by the bench. Need more of that.

WCQF: (4) St. Louis Blues vs. (5) Vancouver Canucks
FaninMex replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Canucks Talk
Not totally true. I remember 1 play in particular where the puck went to the corner and a Wild D went for it. After the Wild player got the puck, he looked up and saw JV charging in full speed. He threw the puck down the ice and jumped out of the way. Wild were called for icing and Petey's line jumped on. There was another similar play to that but they never got talked about. That is the JV we will need in this series.
