  1. The Canucks' two biggest signings should be Baertschi and Tryamkin.

Other than that, the kids will get squeezed out if we keep 3 of Hamhuis, Burrows, Edler, and Vrbata...

I don't doubt for one second that Prust, Vrbata and Weber aren't coming back. Burrows and Hamhuis are a bit tougher to judge.

The Canucks need to move one or two of there forward prospects for a strong, border NHL prospect who may be buried under other defensive depth. Sort of like how they were able to snag Pedan away from the Islanders for Mallet and a pick. Potential candidates could be Connor Carrick (Capitals), Taylor Murphy (Predators), Brenden Kichton (Jets), Louis-Marc Aubry (Red Wings), Morgan Ellis (Canadiens), Chris Casto (Bruins), or Jake Chelios (Hurricanes). None of these guys are "flashy" propsects but they all are solid, under the radar guys that could probably be acquired for cheap/swapped for some of our B-list guys. Out of those guys listed, my eyes would likely be set on Louis-Marc Aubry, since he's 6'4" -- Morgan Ellis (good offensive production) -- and Trevor Murphy (shorter, but a bulldog player reminiscent of Biega).
