I feel like Benning's top targets are Caufield, Boldy, Podkolzin, Cozens, Harley, and Newhook... anywhere from 5-20 is going to be extremely tough to predict, though.

If you're Edmonton, do you do Puljujarvi for Callahan? Do you do it if you're Tampa?

You know what, I forgot about the NMC
As for Virtanen for Callahan, no - we're taking the long road to rebuild. And, we don't need a competent winger like the Oilers do. Now I get that Callahan might be setting the bar a little too low, but he's still a (albeit past his prime) skilled forward with captaincy and playoff experience.

Don't care what the "reviewers" on Rotten Tomatoes say, I freakin' loved Justice League!

@Jaku was thinking of how farmers and farm workers would take it. Feels like it's gonna be a dummy hot summer, so hope there's ways to keep cool

Kinda wild to think I've been on this board for five years now.

Gotta wonder that if Toronto offers Boston Marner for McAvoy if Boston considers it.

That's my thought behind it @Baer.
Marner's incredibly skilled, and arguably more skilled than McAvoy, but McAvoy is a cornerstone defenseman and the Bruins have near zip for futures on D.
-
@Generational.EP40 for Boston, Marner is arguably better than McAvoy and could be a 1C to replace Bergeron.
For Toronto, they need cap space. McAvoy is an RHD on a team without one, and is on a rookie contract for one more season.
I do see this as a move Toronto would initiate, though. Boston would be content to keep McAvoy.

Returning the favour: would you trade 10th + Markstrom for 1st + Schneider?
edit: I got reamed on /r/canucks for this so I know it's not up to par

RIP Dallas.

Duchene is absolutely worth the Canucks 1st, but it's not worth the Canucks' (or anyone's) time to spend an asset of that quality for him.
A later 1st with a good prospect? At least? Sure.
But y'all acting like he hasn't been a PPG+ player for the past 14 months on the worst team in the league.
-
This is the draft where I'd rather not get 1st. Kakko is better for our team's needs, but it'd be so much fun to see the Hughes bros play for the same team. Hope for 2nd, and let a different team make that decision.

@40Dangles Many people thought similar things about Olli Juolevi in his draft year. So I take it with a grain of salt.
Forward is the safer play still, unless the Canucks truly believe in Byram's potential.
-
@Chip Kelly well after a slow start In the AHL Juolevi had 13 pts in 18 games and went pointless in his first 5 or 6. Not sure why you see that as bad. Juolevi always needed time in Europe or AHL given his strength needed to be improved, quite common for young Dmen. Not sure how Juolevi has any bearing on Byram’s ability
-
@40Dangles I was comparing how both play a similar 2 way game.
Juolevi was a top 10 pick. Is Byram as good or better?
Byram is bigger and more effective probably in the physical department though. I give him that.
It's wait and see for me. Juolevi has to shed his injury prone label though.
He was supposed to be as good or better than Olli Maata when in his draft year, and his development has not gone as quick as It should have due to injuries.
So let's see if he can stay healthy and get back on track.
He should be a regular on the Canucks D by 2021 at the latest.

Are you Thor, god of hammers? Hm?

Apparently the Oilers might need to waive both Petrovic and Manning to bring Sekera back. If they do that, would they need a Pouliot?

@Jaku I think Edmonton's regretting not going after Chabot more
