Great team stat....all the teams who make the playoffs are "+" and most teams who don't make the playoffs are "-". Have a look at the end of season at the team +/-, it kind of amazing when all the "+" make the playoffs and the "-" do not.

try Gaudette with Boeser, Goldy if the lines are put in a blender...LE with Baer and Bo

EP's vision and how he uses and finds the open ice is Gretzky like....even their builds are similar... He doesn't need to bulk up much...lean muscle works too It's going to be a treat to watch him work magic....like the Sedins but different. Going from the Sedns to EP40...it's good to be a Canuck fan!
-
If I was Lind, I would make clean hits on Gagner, Granlund and LE....if they play contact scrimmage. Ramp up the intensity on every shift...see if the old guys can dish it out too...
-
Palmu and Gadjovich...even when not played together lit it up! ...spread the talent, but bring it together when it matters....two NHL players in the making.
-
then we have a better chance at winning the draft lottery (Jack Hughes, Cozens, Lafreniere), then bring in the young guns the following year....this might work.
-
and this is the crux of the matter....seats will not be filled with debris in the way.

Courtnall also wore the # well.

I remember coaching midget hockey (up North in a small community) for the first time....walked into the dress room to find all the players with smokes in their hand and half having beers....managed to turn the ship around and get them playing good hockey including minus the beers and the smokes...the good ole days... ...going into the bowels of the arenas where the smoking areas were located and not being able to see across the room because of the thick smoke....times have changed.

the opposite of Hutton...lol

Hughes definitely leans to the offence side of the game and is a good skater to be solid on the defensive side. He does remind me of Keith, but he (Q) seems to roam more in the offensive zone.

The game I saw, Woo was not noticeable, which is also a good thing. Canada won 4-1,so the result speaks for its self, it was a good team game. He looked a little light on his feet at times and smaller than some of his team mates. He took a penalty, which wasn't a bad penalty. The player that stood out in a not so good way was Bouchard...he was the barrel that the hoop went around a few times.

Canucks Top Ten prospects (Updated for 2018-2019)
Pete M replied to 48MPHSlapShot's topic in Prospects / Farm Team
could put Tryamkin on the list too....in two years, he will be on the team...can label him a prospect now. -
a call up to sit and watch in the press box or a call up to actually play on a line and on the ice? Call up and sitting in the press box has its merits, I guess. They learn the off ice and practice routine...but a player wants to play when called up...not just sit in the press box and watch. If any player who loves to compete tells you different, then he/ she is lying. God bless...Father.

There is a time for everything...now is the time to develop the player...good decision by Q.

Nikita can create a different environment when he is on the ice...players know when he is on the ice and they seem to behave differently in regards to his (Tryamkin's) team mates... Chara creates a different environment in his own way just like McDavid, Crosby, Malkin, and Ove do in their own ways...they are noticeable in different ways and they all create a different feel when they are on the ice...Nikita does it in his own way. Hope he comes back soon because he will make this team better.
-
Tryamkin can create a different environment when he is on the ice...not many NHLers can do that...usually only the super stars or the Chara's of the game can only do that.
-
If I had a player with his size and talent and played the way he did...and he wanted to play more...I would play him more and then change his skate blades for him once they wore out.

Seattle Torpedo Seattle Tsunami....cause you know it's coming.

Hughes starts behind his net, skates on the rush over the blue line, a quick head man pass to Pettersson, Pettersson crosses the blue line taking the puck wide and makes a lazer cross ice feed to Boeser, who one times it home over the glove of the goalie who had no chance. That's all I have to say about that! Other than the goalie is getting sunburn on his neck from all the red light.

Man...I wish Gagner was good. Hamster on a spinning wheel...trys hard, but no hockey sense. But yeah, he is better than Megna. Now that the bottom four line is solidified and Linden and Benning are on record saying the young, skilled, talented forwards will be relied on...Gagner's only spot is on the 3rd line, which already has better options than him...Utica bound or possibly sitting in the press box until injuries hit...he will definitely clear waivers, but for some reason that he doesn't, then no big loss. The difference now is the prospect pool is there to add depth...players like Archie, Boucher, Motte, Lind, Gadjovich, Palmu, Jasek, Dahlen and MacEwen will be just as good or better options than Gagner. Times are starting to get exciting!

lol...should have mentioned in my comment that Jonah doesn't fit this category, but should be competing for a spot two or three years down the road if he continues to develop, especially with the additions of the vets on the fourth line.

agree that the player gets better with age and enters his prime mid 20s...example of JV and McCann being played as 18/19 year olds is too young. Only elite players can make an impact usually...latest examples would be Mathews, McDavid and Laine. I agree that JV and McCann were thrown to the wolves at a young age however the Canucks had depth issues and the injury bug hit which forced them to play those players more, which may or may not have hurt their development. With Gaudette, Dahlen and Pettersson, they will be one or two years older than JV and McCann (when they first entered the league) and these players have spent a year in other leagues developing and proving their worth. They should get an opportunity this year, but on the other hand, it will not hurt for them to spend a year in Utica and develop more. If they do, then it will be another long year for the Canucks who will be waiting for the emergence of the prospects...I would rather watch Pettersson, Dahlen and Gaudette play if they are ready for their roles on the team. The difference from other years now is the prospect pool is getting full and eventually some of these players need to push out the place holders.

Check out the size of some key players for Tampa...Callahan, Gourde, Johnson, Kucherov, and Point. Glass half full view in respect to our young skilled players is they can play and be successful if given the opportunity. Johnny Hockey Kane Panarin Gallagher Giroux Marchessault Pettersson is now 165 Ibs and growing Dahlen Both Dahlen and Pettersson are comparable (size and weight wise) to some of the elite under size top end players in the league... ...just comes down to opportunity, determination, heart, skill and talent.

idk if they can survive...however, there are players like Johnny hockey, St Louis, the Tampa Bay smurfs, etc. that are examples that lean to "yes they can survive". One thing for sure, if they are not given the opportunity, then the outcome will remain "idk".
