Virtanen has the drive to get better and be an effective player. It's all about the drive, something which many of our top youngsters appear to have a boat load of. It will be interesting what plays out these next couple months.

I agree. As much as it's nice to have a pure scoring winger I also feel as if he will fly on us. I would have rather taken the risk on Kylington.

Do we plan on filling his skates with a magically appearing leprechaun who can kill penalties for us, bring the intangibles and score the 20 or so goals he is bound to get. Until we see someone else step up into a top 6 role then Yes we will need him. Don't write off Burr just yet!

The Canucks are pleased to select with the 66th pick in the 2014 entry draft Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane. Seriously though this guy has potential in his size, but that is only if can properly use it on the smaller ice. This guy has small risk, BIG reward written all over him.

I believe this guy will be a stud. He is a finisher pure and simple with the toughness of a garbage truck. He addresses two huge gaps on this roster, put all of the surgery nonsense aside and lets judge the on ice product once he hits the NHL level.

A real slick pick at 36th overall. I believe that a lot of other teams who passed him up are going to be kicking themeslves in 3-4 years time.
