The incredible ease with which we find planets in the golden zone, the massive numbers of stars and galaxies out there and the fact that complex organic materials literally fall from the sky makes the idea that there is life out there almost a statistical certainty.  The biggest issue here is distances. They are just so incomprehensibly large that the bigger question is can we find or communicate with intelligent life outside our solar system. 
Some of those whistleblowers sound like cranks though and non-human biologicals is so vague he could just mean cow shit. 

Too bad management and ownership has been going all in for the cup every year since 2011.

Oh they are just stop gap measures, just short term ones.

Like that they aren't crippling us with LT deals but still think overall we squandered opportunities to be better.

This is definitely a transition period over the next couple years waiting for some of Benning's bad contract to expire.  

In 2 years when the OEL penalty balloons we should be clear of Myers and Brock and have a bunch of young talent getting ready to break into the league.  Raty and Klimovich have been paired together in Abby and probably need another couple seasons before contemplate full time NHL, Willander and EP2 should be coming to NA about the same time as well we may see JL coming into replace Brock on wing.

Lots of young cost controlled options coming in if they develop.

Not sure that is possible this off-season with the flat cap. May be able to move a piece or two but deadline best spot to move more of them out. More teams can take players and prices are the highest.

We are rebuilding/tooling in a unique way.  Eschew pics and take players who are looking for big money soon to take advantage of all our cap space. 

The report itself doesn’t really get what is going on. 
Without more information it is hard to say exactly what is going on but the likely explanation given the number of surgeries and the PICC line is that he has had post op infection.  Assuming they had to put some plates or other hardware in the hand initially, it is very hard to treat an infection around an implant. The PICC line would be there just for long term IV antibiotics. 
One of the things to remember is superbugs like MRSA go around gyms and athletic facility like wildfire. These are often hard to treat and frequently will require long courses of IV antibiotics. If he got post operative infection a number of surgeries may very reasonably be done to remove hardware, drain infection, provide other types of support to healing structures such as external fixation. 
While the external interpretation of this may be like Quinn said, a botched surgery, that is less likely to be the case. Complications sometimes happen unfortunately and a hockey glove is a nasty place to stick a wound. 
Good luck to Pearson. Thought he was one of Benning’s better pickups, especially for what he cost and was under-rated on this board.

Demko is back to Demko and pressure is off. We will be rising fast with the teams ahead of us in the standings having decided that the TDL is a place to sell assets for a premium, drop in the standings and retool in the off-season when the options are less limited.  
It is about maximizing chance of success in the lottery and overall by selling at times when prices are high and buying when they are low.  Or it should be, our plan is about messaging to season ticket holders and short term playoff revenue.

As anyone on that team

It was a good interview and as frustrating as it is he is generally correct. 
I love when he pushed back on commenting on peoples dissatisfaction with rumours. Not his job to comment on rumours. 
I love that they are not willing to just throw more assets at correcting mistakes. It means a frustrating period of waiting unfortunately. 
I praise Sakic a lot and he was very patient and waited for the right deals to come along so I will try to be patient.  If only we could ever have any of his damn luck. 

Ekblad is a nasty piece of work. He is famous for hacking and slashing ankles all game long. 
Kind of like a Chelios, he takes so many cheap shots the refs can’t call everything so he gets away with it. He doesn’t quite have the propensity for nasty cheap shots after the whistle like a Chelios did. 
One year of JT for Ekblad is a no brainer in my mind.  Ekblad is something we don’t have, need badly and would shift the identity of this team in a much meaner direction.
