  1. I think the Canucks should experiment with Virtanen in Boesers spot on the second power play. He has a great shot and can get back with his speed.

      I am one of Virt's biggest supporters, but I think Greener's bringing him along perfectly. Let's face it, he's not the most mentally tough player in the NHL, so he needs to work on routine and building good habits. If he continues his upwards trajectory, I see him getting moved to LW, because he is a lot more effective offensively on the off wing. Then he can get some PP time as well.

      Disagree, Boeser works in his role because his puck control is good/great. Virtanen is a big body but gets the puck knocked off his stick easily and isn't exactly great at receiving passes either. He has a lot to work on before he can be trusted on the powerplay.

      If Virtanen is to be used on the powerplay, I think he'd usually be best in front of the net, wreaking havoc and scoring garbage goals. He's got a good enough shot that he may be able to score some snipes too, but he'd probably be more effective as a Bertuzzi-type presence in front of the net.
