  1. After 3 hours of sitting around doing nothing except listing to music and drinking coffee and with the cat next to me.  I think it's time to be productive! It's almost 2pm you know.

Great, I decided for a walk along the water.  It’s a little late in the day, and it’s nice and warm out!

@Tre Mac where are you at on your ice cream?  And, are you sharing?

  2. You two must have had a blast playing Barbie! I had a kiddie pool as a child and would put my barbies in the swimming pool and leave them there. I would return and find all the heads popped off by my younger brother. On another note, when I was a child, I would go over to my friends and play Super Mario Bros and Duck Hunt. Everyone other child in the neighborhood got NES for Christmas, and we got bicycles...
  3. I loved playing The Oregon Trail in school!
  4. One particular time I was so excited about my Tetris score, that I posted it on CDC! I forgot where. But here it is! ~
  5. @Blazer8717, you should totally change your thread title to something else. Like, "Totally rad ol' skool video games" or "Totally tubular ol' skool video games" or "Totally totally awesome tubularistic video games" and I mean totally totally. Yeah! I'm just having too much fun today!
  6. The Bachelorette. I give it a 9 - I really like Gabby. This season there's two bachelorettes.
  7. Yeah, Tetris, Super Mario Bros, and Super Mario Bros 3 are totally divine!
  8. So @Tre Mac, how's your candy stash coming along?
  9. Yesterday, I scrounged up $15 in cash around my apartment and went on a kombucha run! I got my fancy, trendy re-usable bag, walked up to the grocery store, and bought 5 bottles of kombucha! Spent $12.45 and made it into my grocery budget without going over. I gotta have the kombucha!
  10. Oh my goodness Tre Mac! Did you share?
  11. Good choice to re-sign Montembeault. There's a lot of growth opportunities there.
  12. Thanks, kitty is lovely and with personality! What do you think of my food?
  13. She thinks the slippers are her’s…!
  14. I like to go on nature walks and especially on weekends. Today I enjoyed the glorious trails and the beach. The tide was out. It was exiting! Gosh! Gas is so EXPENSIVE! I take the bus and walk. And sometimes the train.
  15. My frugal lunch. Having coffee left over from this morning, toasted bread topped with every last one bit of cream cheese, rest of the organic butternut squash soap sprinkled with pepper, and the rest of the almonds.
  16. I always plan out my grocery list, and so far this week I have been great - spending $24.89. QFC - $3.96 (woohoo! free 18-count eggs coupon and $0.77 conditioner, etc.!) Safeway - $20.93 (woohoo! $0.77 bread and $1.49 10-count tortillas to name a few!) I need to go to Trader Joe's and which I made a list of things I need, like $0.25 each for organic bananas (5 = $1.25). Grocery shopping is expensive, and when I make a list and cut out the pizza, wine, Chipotle, it is much cheaper. I am all for buying groceries on the cheap. I try to make it $50.00 or less per week and eat what I already have at home.
  17. I get bored, so I refresh a lot and like to read, and I go here a lot, sometimes 5+ times a day.
  18. The schedule is alright. When the schedule came out in prior years, I would get so excited that I would print out the schedule and highlight the games I wanted to go to! I was also like that when I was an Ice Pack ticket member. I wish they would go back to adding 1pm or 2pm games. That was sweet. There are two 4pm games in Vancouver that I like. I will need to check the Seattle games for when Montreal and Vancouver are coming to town and re-check the Vancouver games.
  19. It was nice and sunshine earlier today in Seattle. Now, it's raining. Yeah, that's how it is. Rains at the most inopportune times.
  20. That's sweet! I have the Habs and Canucks on my mind for games I want to attend in Seattle.
  21. Has anyone taken any day trips crossing the border since it re-opened last year?

Great, thanks all!  I have been thinking about taking a day trip up to Vancouver. I was not sure about the border crossing since we are still in a pandemic and of what to expect like travelling by myself for a day trip, if that would be a red flag because we are still in a pandemic, and taking the bus. The train service from Seattle is not up and running and Kenmore Air is not running service up to Vancouver and back.

You know what's funny... I used go to Montreal and would take an overnight flight, usually over to Chicago and up to Montreal. At customs, I always wanted to tell the agent why I was there, but they never asked me anything.  They would just look at my declaration form and say merci followed by thank you, and that was it.  When I interacted with an agent at a land border or YVR on my way to Vancouver, sometimes it was like a Q&A session, and I am not much for more than 3 questions. I would think that the agents in Montreal would ask me questions, and the agents at the land border and YVR would not ask me more than 3 questions.

@4petesake, did you have to show anything else besides your passport and vaccination card or use an app to go to the US?

So as a recap for myself to go to Vancouver and back to Seattle:

Canada:  ArriveCan app + passport or Enhanced ID

      USA:  passport + vaccination card

      Is that right?

For a Canadian going across I didn’t have to show anything other than passport. Returning to Canada if you have filled out your ArriveCan online you also don’t have to show anything as it is already linked.

Yes I am confident you have it right in your recap
