Any idea who this player is? (I actually don't know the answer)

I'm torn between calling this photo John Gould vs Gene Sobchuk. They played during the same season, both wearing 21, and both had facial hair along with the long wavy mop

I know legendsofhockey has this picture under Ron Homenuke...but it really doesn't look at all like Homenuke, who in his youth, had very curly hair. Certainly much longer than that shown in this photo. I have seen mixups on legendsofhockey before (Bruce Bullock picture actually being Dan Brady for example). Is this photo absolutely Homenuke, or could this be someone else?
