  1. Daniel Sedin shops at where I work. I saw him come in the day after Colorado's power play comeback at Rogers Arena. I approached Daniel and told him, "Tough loss last night but you'll get 'em next time." I even told him about a video someone on the forum at CDC made, depicting him as "Daniel San" crane-kicking a Bruin player as Johnny Lawrence for the win and Coach Green as Miyagi looking on. He laughed and thought it was cool. I wished him luck. Since then, Daniel has scored in 5 straight games and recently surpassed Naslund for the most 20-goal seasons in Canucks history. I'm a Slump Doctor! Now, he has to bring Henrik with him. Lol.
  2. Totems is very synonymous with the Pacific Northwest. Seattle was also named after a famous chief, Chief Seattle. http://www.seattletotems.org/Uniform History.html
  3. Bingo. Kracken, like Wild, is way too childish. It's a fine name for a National Lacrosse League team or a roller hockey team but not for a major league hockey franchise. Hockey is a game of tradition and when that tradition is compromised, the game gets dumbed down. If the Vancouver Stealth rebranded as the Voodoo and they played the Seattle Kraken, that's more than okay with me.
  4. Totems is the best choice. Let's revive the Totems-Canucks rivalry at the NHL level. However, my second choice would be Emeralds. Too bad Breakers didn't make the list. Absolute NO to the Kraken.
  5. Royal blue jersey with Johnny Canuck/Classic Stick In Rink and traditional block font with green bordering.
  6. Just imagine Lind's stats if it weren't for that minor head injury from that check a week and a half ago. Gee.
  7. I have a bad feeling that Brock will have to get points through assists in order to tie and break the points record. His only goal since the injury was on a 5-on-3 power play vs Florida. I feel that his wrist shot is done for the season.
  8. With the primary assist on Daniel's second goal, Brock now needs 8 more points to tie Bure and Hlinka's rookie club record.
  9. With 2 goals tonight in Arizona, Daniel is now 12 goals away from becoming the Canucks' first career 400-goal scorer. With 5 goals in his last 6 games, he just might accomplish the feat this season.
  10. I totally agree. Jake needs to be put in a position where he can utilize his strengths and succeed. Defensive play from forwards is no different than developing defensemen - both take time.
  11. Lind hasn't lost a step. Hope he cracks 40 goals.
  12. Don't mean to be dismissive but I would take BoHo anytime over CoHo. With BoHo getting better and better and with the likes of Pattersson and Gaudette on the horizon, any thoughts about CoHo are irrelevant based on what transpired with him. And I was very big on him as well. Everything happens for a reason.
  13. Thank you, Father Ryan. That's what I've been saying for the last few days. I would even go a step further and rest him for the balance of this month. The Calder is history. The Canucks win 6 or 7-4 last night with Boeser having two healthy wrists. Boeser can still finish with 35-40 goals if he's resting for the remainder of February(Gawd, I hope he's not playing with a fracture). If Green continues to play him, then it's not doing Boeser and his wrist any favours. Because I could easily see him being lucky enough to finish with 30-32 goals based on his recent scoring pace. His shots and puck handling are way off. We all want to see a 100% healthy Boeser wristing goals like he did prior to his injury.
  14. Gadjovich is still out of the Owen Sound lineup. Any word on his injury status?
  15. It's frustrating to have players with talent but with less heart and to have players with heart but less talent.
  16. First Gadjovich and now Lind. Hockey Gods, don't lay a finger on Pettersson and Gaudette. Please & thank you.
  17. Nice breakaway goal! Just tied his career high in goals and points. Also, Jake's first non-empty net goal since Dec 21. The wheels and hands are there!
  18. Elite and franchise can be the same thing. However, Pettersson won't be a generational player but who knows??Gilbert Perrault, Peter Stastny, Steve Yzerman and Joe Sakic weren't generational players like Gretzky and Lemieux but they were definitely franchise players. Wouldn't surprise me seeing Pettersson developing into one.
  19. I would try Virtanen on LW to utilize his strengths and to provide space for his more-skilled linemates like Horvat or Pettersson.
  20. I take it that you prefer Boeser with Pettersson and Lind with Horvat. Either or works for me.
  21. Because Lind is a right winger with great playmaking ability and Pettersson having a wicked shot, I can envision the two of them playing together on the same line. A natural fit for both.
  22. If I were in that woman's shoes at that Q&A session, I would've said, "Mr. Prime Minister, three things...#1. Please DON'T interrupt me when I'm talking. #2. DON'T politically correct me. And #3. Mankind wasn't MEANT to be offensive." If Trudeau Jr. isn't taking selfies, he's interrupting people and putting them in their places in front of others. Brownie point seeker is what he is.
  23. Hutton Wink, you beat me to the punch. However, when 5 Canucks prospects make Button's Top 50 and we know that Kole Lind should be in the Top 30, let alone the Top 50, that's obviously a great sign. Anyway, extremely happy that EP made it to #1.
  24. What are the chances of the Canucks having TWO first lines? Boeser playing with Pettersson who's left-handed as well and perhaps Kole Lind playing with BoHo? Happy Days Will Be Here Again.
