  1. Can't really criticize any of his picks this draft. I'm pretty happy. My only complaint is that I wish we had more picks.
  2. I'm rocking the #53 Jersey and thought he was the right pick then.
  3. https://canucksarmy.com/2017/06/15/nation-network-2017-prospect-profiles-5-elias-pettersson/ In case anyone wants to read his profile.
  4. So.....let me get this straight people don't want Euro players, cause they're soft? Erik Karlsson, no good? Twins, no good?
  5. Everyone......just watch. This guy is absolutely deserving of #5 pick. Have heard soo many great things. What I keep seeing and hearing is he is one of the most underrated players in this draft. I Think he's gonna prove a lot of people wrong. He was playing against men at 165lbs, gotta be pretty good to do that. There are no statistical comparisons for him....... because no one has had as good of a season in that league as him. I hear he's a Backstrom type player.
  6. Why is everyone so mad about the pick? There were like 4C's and 1D that were high enough caliber to be taken at 5.
  7. For everyone worrying about his weight don't worry cause the twins were only 170lbs when they were drafted.
  8. I like this pick. I would have been ok with Glass or Vilardi. He has 1st line potential, don't listen to SNet. He is said to be more skilled than Glass and Vilardi and could have the highest potential of anyone in this draft. A little bit riskier than Glass or Vilardi though.
  9. Remember when we drafted Virtanen cause of "toughness" instead of Ehlers or Nylander.
  10. haha yup my bad. Cause 2010-2011 was just awful with all that goal scoring.
  11. ooh....oooohhhh.... it's toughness that's the problem......of course, silly me I thought it was goal scoring.
  12. Love this trade. Would much prefer skill over size....and Dahlen has plenty of skill.
  13. This Tkachuk/Juolevi thing kind of reminds me of the Bo/Nichushkin thing. Everyone thought Dallas made out better because Nichushkin was in the NHL and Bo got sent back. Now look, Bo is better and still in the league. Just because you send a prospect back to junior doesn't mean he isn't as good or better than a prospect who made it to the NHL sooner.
  14. It's CHL greed. It's archaic and dumb, what would the CHL do if the NHL took that rule out? Not allow CHLers to be drafted? Then there would be less interest, more players would go to college or other pro leagues. Even if players wanted to play in the CHL at age 20 they would be a free agent. Would be interesting though to get high end players for nothing.
  15. Corey Pronman says he's having a really good season, just not putting up lots of points due to tough match ups and playing a lot of minutes in the defensive zone and playing more than anyone. He says that he has a great pro style game and should be able to make the jump to the NHL in 1-2 years (17-18/18-19). He sounded disappointed that he can't be sent to Utica next season as he sees no point in him going back to junior but thinks a season in the AHL would be better than Junior or NHL.
  16. Yay Eriksson for $6M! ............. ooh 6 years....really?....ouch.
  17. Saw him listed at 6'8" and over 240lbs. Lol no one's gonna want to mess with him.
  18. Looks like he is ready for the NHL. He was very good in Utica and in the youngstars tournament. I think he'll make the team, he has every tool the canucks needed last year ( Shot, Speed, Physicality).
  19. Czechs FTW! I want more Czechs!
  20. Well... Winter is coming.
  21. That was a very pedo scene. I'm glad Bennett isn't 18 anymore, I don't think I could take hearing about it again.
  22. Yeah, Pretty much. Whether he's ready or not he'll be on the team. He's a Benning pick and a Benning guy. He has a couple elements we were lacking last year; Speed and physicality.
