  1. and if they keep it up it will bite them. There's no conspiracy against the Canucks, just blatantly incompetent refs.
  2. I hope that penalty against beagle doesn't change the way they play. I'd rather him sit in the box after defending a teammate than skate away and do nothing. A team that has each others back has the heart to come back after a goal like that.
  3. Let's get some consistent officiating. Either let it all go or none. St Louis needs to sit for some their after/before the whistle BS to even out the calls.
  4. No problem with the double minor on beagle in any other game. But they've been letting the blues get away with chips and cheap shots all game. Obviously the Canucks are going to retaliate. Garbage officiating. Get your sh*t together zebras.
  5. playing center is a lot more than just taking draws. And Elias does the rest of it very well.
  6. Minny was a big team too, and the Canucks played that game just fine, in fact better than them. Canucks need to show the same pushback and intensity they had in the qualifying round and they'll be fine. Let's not go and change what worked.
  7. Good point. I just have a sense that Jim is going to push to make room for OJ is there's any indication that he's ready. A lot can happen trade-wise before next season too (if we even have one).
  8. Barring injury, I think OJ will be playing with the Canucks next year. I could see him replacing Stecher, being at the end of his contract.
  9. The stick between the legs on Roussel was unnecessary too. Roussel looked like he was embellishing a bit, but I'm not sure how that call was missed. Was that Perron too?
  10. Right??? There was another play where St Louis bear hugged one of our guys legs so he couldn't skate off, and the announcers were praising it as this amazing hockey play. They also spent the entire game calling players by the wrong names. I had no idea how lucky we are to have shorty and garrett until now.
  11. Guys get injured in the playoffs (and the regular season for that matter), it's part of it and you just hope it doesn't happen to your team. Look at Winnipeg and their injuries, and how that affected their series, but would you consider getting rid of either of those guys because they might get injured again? You don't get rid of a player like Tanev because you are afraid he might get injured. He is a huge character guy, huge team player, and does a tremendous amount of work (the dirty work no one wants to do) to help this team win. Remind me, what are you arguing? That we should not re-sign Tanev or that he's too expensive? Who is going to replace him at this point?
  12. Jordie is still in quarantine. We'll have to wait and see if Green puts him in the lineup once he's cleared to play.
  13. Tanev bleeds Canuck. He isn't going anywhere.
  14. the Wild and their diving, this is unreal. Like a team full of Keslers. Someone from the league needs to have a word with their team, this looks like soccer
  15. What I loved about Jake's game last night was that when he made a mistake he would work extra hard right away or on the next shift to make up for it. I'd love to see him throw his weight around a little more than he did, but he was flying last night. If he can keep this up it's hard to imagine him sitting as a healthy scratch again.
  16. if only 25-50 people were killed in that blast that would be a miracle. I expect that a lot more will be confirmed once they are able to properly assess the damage. What a terrifying thing to happen.
  17. A lot of accountants here apparently.
  18. We just need a big ol win streak. We've done enough losing for a while now. Cmon boys make it happen!
  19. If only PST were that simple, but it's 100% not.
  20. Side note: Where did this Chris Tanev Snarl come from this year? He's been playing like this a lot! He is showing so much heart it's awesome!
  21. Demko needs to work a bit on his rebound control, too many of them are bouncing right up into the slot just out of his and the defencemen's reach. That said, this is a HUGE moment in Demko's career, this is the first time he's being relied upon as an NHL starter for any considerable length of time, you have to imagine how much pressure this must be for him right now. I hope that after this big win that he builds a bit of confidence. For those of you knocking Demko every time the Canucks lose a game, or he lets in a softie, do you remember Marky in his first year with us? He wasn't always the Marky that he's been the last couple of years.
  22. The refs aren't capable of executing any kind of conspiracy. They are just plain incompetent
