And how did you come to that conclusion? Do you have quotes from said players dating back to the Devils organization? Or are you just assuming based on what you see or think? If its just your opinion then thats fair whether I agree or not but you cant be stating opinions as fact.

Probably more likely that he hates losing. Dahlen stayed back in Timra to helps his team get promoted to the SHL when he could have gone himself since he was too good for that league. Im sure there is a lot of frustration on the Comets right now but I think your reading Dahlen wrong.

I spent to much time on hf boards, probably should have added that to my vent.

What exactly does everyone want from Juolevi? Kids had a good start to his North American pro career. Looking great on the powerplay, crisp outlet passes as usual, and clearly is more engaged. Has he made some mistakes? Yeah of course he has, hes playing a different style of game on a different ice surface and most likely still not 100% from back surgery. Probably similar to Boeser but hes coming around as will Olli. Im not worried or have any doubt that hes gonna be a huge part of the Canucks future. If anything people should be excited to see his progression so far. On a similar if not better path then Klingberg, Lindell, Josi, Ekholm, Ristolainen, Morrissey, and Im sure theres more. We just live in this now society where patience is an afterthought. You see it in the way people drive, the way we try to lose weight or build muscle, how we get our food, and of course how we treat our prospects. I agree with a lot of positives and flaws people are pointing out but if your not encouraged by what you see then that's nothing more than a jaded opinion because the facts say otherwise. Hope everyone has a great day doing what there doing, hockey and beer are only hours away.

Agreed. The Edler-Gud pairing was the best physically the eagle has looked in years. Could be a menacing pair.
-
If this is the Gudbranson were getting all season we should be excited. He was punishing against Edmonton and has been playing that way all pre season. Have also noticed the better footwork and decision making.

Dats a one punch tko. Big guy wanted none of it after that. Gotta love Inspector Gadjovich!!!

@danny.canuck @Yung1 its correct he said 177lbs. Ben Kuzma also tweeted a couple hours ago saying he was 177 in May. So hes coming in over 180 which is great to hear. Probably will peak around 195 in a couple years.

Can hockey start already!!! I'm just so cautiously optimistic for Elias. Part of me believes he's just so damn special that I think he'll get 70+ points while helping us sneak into the playoffs. The logical side of my brain says he'll sit somewhere between 40-55 pts (depending on games played) and finish top 3 if not win the rookie of the year. To be honest Im happy with both because it would mean were on our way to being cup contenders again. Really though we all know this besides the bandwagon fan and a portion of those "journalists"

There are plenty of smaller guys in the NHL. Height doesn't hinder like it used to. Heres just a few. https://thehockeywriters.com/top-10-undersized-nhl-players/

Oh man nice snipe! How is anyone gonna stop our powerplay with Gaudette and Boeser on that side putting on a show. They could overload that side but then theres a unicyling, juggling, magician on the other. Watch out NHL.
-
Just a shot in the dark but Im guessing theres no way to watch Gaudette in the NHLPA Rookie Showcase today? I looked around but couldnt find anything. Would be pretty sweet to see how he stacks up against other prospects.

If the people you supervise are a bunch of third graders then yeah spelling over content. Otherwise yikes! A supervisor needs to have good communication with the employees and I dont think being a sourpuss about spelling would achieve that.

I think last report hes back training again. Maybe a little time in the AHL to get back up to speed but we'll see what he looks like at training camp. We need Olli to take that next step and if Salo says hes ready then lets get the guy in there. He looked dominant in the playoffs last season so I dont see how that version of Olli couldnt make our lineup. Is summer over yet lets play some puck!
-
Haha well i certainly hope not. Most likely 2 years max 3. There's just to much talent on the horizon to think otherwise.
-
Ok Im definetly dreaming here as its so far away but if (big if) the Canucks managed to make the playoffs, would it be crazy to see Hughes slotted into the lineup? It would be a huge step but he went from college to the world championships so why not. Although keep in mind I am day drinking and a lot of things seem like a good idea at the moment.

Actually the response given to you was thorough and made valid points where yours just frankly dont make sense. However I will agree with you on one thing. Why am I waisting my time responding....1st ever poster to make it on my ignore list. Congrats!

What are you even arguing anymore? Were gonna have young guys in the lineup next year with a plethora more coming the next few years who will play when ready. EVERY stanley cup champion the last 10 years had plenty of veterans in the lineup you would probably call plugs. There not plugs however and Im sure if you met them in person you would fawn over them as you would with the canuck veterans. Either get on the bandwagon or fall off the back and pick a new team. I dont have time for you glass empty "fans" anymore. Hopefully see you at the stanley cup parade with five years time. Cheers.

Man I always forget what a good wrist shot Olli has and gets it through traffic quite well. Would love to see Olli run the powerplay with Boeser and Gaudette on the left and Pettersson and horvat on the right. That would be a dynamic umbrella.
-
Oh yeah definetly agree thats something WASH would offer but on the open market forget it. You wont get a bargain unless your hunting the secondary market.
-
Theres a 0% chance that 1.15mill was a legitimate offer. We overpayed by a year and 500k. One of the best defensive forwards on a stanley cup winning team and one of the best in faceoffs throughout the league. Now why would a team want a guy like that hmmmmm let me think. Maybe, and this may seem outlandish to you but starting with the puck more often than not would be a good thing. Win the faceoff...get the puck to Hughes...then watch the magic show.

The only thing I grasped from the last 6 pages is Quinn and Rasmus are both great prospects, debating has become more about the best insult instead of a conversation of differing opinions, and that for some unholy reason I cant go anywhere without someone mentioning that moron Trump. Okay I'm going back to the sun, tequila, and coronas now. Cheers everybody!!!
-
The more I think of it, if Patty Kane can come into the league at 170 soaking wet and put up 70+ points then why is it outlandish to think Elias can get to 60+ ? I really think this turn around to the playoffs will happen fast. After all, the Blackhawks were in the conference finals a couple years after drafting Toews and Kane. Just daydreaming

I actually like that Guddy has fought Roussel and Schaller before. They're gonna have a certain respect and comraderie with eachother. They will have eachothers back and the team toughness will have a trickledown effect to the rest of the team. Its gonna be fun to watch especially when we play Toronto. Maybe Tyler Ennis will come to the rescue of Kadri lol
-
Yeah same here. Timonen plus a little more size would be unbelievable. If his career is anything like that he will be one of the best defensemen in Canucks history.
