i'm so old, i'ld probably drop the ceiling on my head...if i could reach that high...

Annoying?  On a scale of getting teeth drilled while being forced to listen to top 40 music, and being stuck with your freshly divorced and emotional sister in law...

I'd take being stuck in a wal-mart lineup surrounded by dozens of screaming mindlessly melting down children directed by parents ignoring them for their cell phones.

      No envy LB

Who you callin old boy?!?! ;)  Yeah, drop ceilings are a pain - as hot as it is, wear at least one of those cheap painter's masks...and take a shower after...

  2. The Elite NCAA programs aren't like your conventional CHL team. Like: Alabama, LSU, OU in football Kentucky, Uconn, MSU in Basketbal ND, BC, BU, MS in hockey. Their programs are elite and never seem to be short on talent. Everyone in the country has them at the top of their list. Always competitive.
  3. The app froze as I was trying to post it and everything completely unraveled. It's a sign. I'm just going to walk away.

  6. Media, Language, the multiculturalism, the dressing room and NHL facilities, conditioning, living out of a suitcase and trying to make the NHL on a smaller ice surface infront of 18k live people. I have worked in other countries, the culture shock is hard enough without media. I can't imagine how hard this is on the guy in the middle of a circus. He did great, and you gotta respect what this guy is going through. To even play in this game is a huge accomplishment.
  7. I don't think my proposal would garner much support.
  8. Someone who has no sense of humour right here.
  9. How many Dmen don't struggle with the time and space in their first NHL game?
  10. He mocks the draft by doing this. Why get a 1st for Hamhuis at the deadline when I can obtain the same player in the 7th round. Must obtain 7th round picks.
  11. Let's be realistic here, if his last name was Kowalski we wouldn't give 2 shicks. Jordan Kowalski would Be another small Dman who can score but, would be eaten alive in the NHL. Like a Justin Schultz lite.
  12. To Toronto: Burrows, Jordan Subban, 6th to Vancouver: 7th Vancouver with (3) 7rnd picks.
  13. Tryamkin was a healthy scratch last night. Bust.
  14. If you ever have heartburn, don't use the baking soda that has been deodorizing your fridge for 3 years to neutralize your stomach acid. You will be sorry.

  15. I know this sounds cliche but a lot of strength comes from your mind or mental ability to harness the rage to your extremities. I have worked in and around the drilling rigs for 17 years. I have worked with some Giants. Some were just retarded strong and some were comically weak. Same goes for small guys. Some really fat, some really long and lanky. Obviously the Giants are going to be stronger because they are simply bigger people but your Lbs/FT ratio is mostly made up of your ability to put out. I have also worked with comically weak gym rats. They are actually some of the weakest lbs/ft people I have ever seen. You want big Ukrainian farm boy. To add, I'm twice the size of my wife but she has beat the piss out of me in a rage.
  16. Holy crap you're smart man, not even joking. Wish I knew cool stuff.
  17. Man, the guy was GM for 6 years and did not draft 1 top 6 forward or 1 top 4 Dman. You can't even be that bad on purpose. Now we are stuck with his stupid contracts and nothing to replace them with.
  18. It still doesn't excuse the horrific drafting, it's not like Gillis gave all of his picks away in trades for core pieces. His regime took a crap on the draft floor year after year.
  19. A lot of teams win and manage to keep themselves from falling off the cliff. The root of our problems today is the horrific drafting by Gillis. Good teams can throw picks for the right pieces and still manage to draft players in the later rounds to keep what is happening to us today, at bay. Teams like Detroit and Chicago almost arrogantly throw high picks because they know how to draft so well. In hindsight, Burke/ Nonis built this core and Gillis killed it.
  20. Someone +1'd this???!!!!! hahahah
  21. My First Thread ended in 29mins, it was that bad. Thanks for the mercy pull @StealthNuck

  22. Few years ago everyone was saying " I know, RIGHT?!" After you said something they could both agree with and relate to. Glad that's over.    ________

back in the mid to late 70s the trendy response to everything was a snide "sure" and you never quite knew if they were in agreement or just being a knob.
