  1. Lazar Another perfect example of a power type player developmental curve flattened. He is a victim of doing everything possible in Jr yet not quite ready for the NHL. He appears to be physically ready but may have irreversible brain damage from eating hamburgers off the ice durning hamburgler's run last season. He has all but completely lost his offensive touch playing thug minutes with plug line mates. If anyone has watched him regularly he is a shadow of his formal self. He is nothing more than Tanner Glass. Do we want to develop a Tanner Glass?
  2. I personally favour the Detroit model over Edmonton's. That's all I'm saying.
  3. You love prospects being pushed into the NHL early because they throw lots of body checks and skate from one end of the ice to the other really fast. I understand, I get it. Our opinions differ.
  4. Bashing? Why would my opinion on what I personally believe is best for his development have anything to do with Nylander or Ehlers. I think he will end up being a better player down the road if he takes the path through the AHL. There are countless examples of players careers ruined by bringing them into the league too early. I can't think of one example of a player spending too much time in Jr and the AHL. We aren't winning the Stanley cup sooner with him in the lineup. We need him to be exactly what he is projected to be when our window reopens in 5 years.
  5. I just think him playing on this team this year is a waste of his ELCz
  6. Keeping Virtanen over Gaunce was a huge mistake. Still think he could have used another season in Jr to work on puck skills. WD is in rookie overload, his twitches and ticks are getting worse. He chews leather now in favour of gum, he was going through too many packs.
  7. I actually thought the big 12 got the big shaft. OSU cowboys are undefeated, beating a TCU team that hasn't lost a regular season game in god knows how long. Baylor, undefeated the most dynamic offence in college football Both ranked behind a 1 loss ND team. Absolutely outrageous. ND is not better than Baylor and OSU. They aren't even in a conference. It's garbage.

I think you are grossly overrating his value.

I'm not really sure why people are saying we mishandled this kid. Going back to Sweden has resurrected his career. We have his rights, this is awesome.
  10. I'm not completely sold on them yet but their future looks bright.
  11. It is hard to imagine because we are in the present time. Think 30 years ago, the only goalies most people remember are the ones who won. Who do people mention more today? Tom Barrasso or John Casey? Who had more Talent?
  12. Luongo's career reminds me of Mike Liut's The way his career was, how he was never quite recognized "officially" for his greatness. Almost snake bitten. He was the Runner up to Wayne Gretzky for the hart trophy one year and I believe he won the Lester B. He was never on a great team, so he didn't stack up the wins or shutouts like he probably should have. His GAA and save % also decimated by his mediocre teammates. It's kind of a sad story to be honest. For those who don't know Liut look him up, he deserves to be known. Such a great talent that just never caught a break. Sadly when all of you young guys are on an Internet form with a bunch of young guns (like I am right now) having this same conversation. I'll bet one of you will tell the story of Roberto Luongo. Believe it or not, without the Stanley cups, he will be forgotten. Just like poor Mike Liut.
  13. Oh look!! I offended someone with my politically incorrect statement.
  14. Anyone who has played hockey knows goalies are fricken weirdos. You can't trust or depend on a weirdo, just enjoy the highs and pray during the lows.
  15. Even the most promising Goalie prospects can suddenly lose their game and fall off the face of the planet. Remember Jack Campbell for example? He was suppose to be the American Carey Price. Ya, it can happen in the blink of an eye.
  16. A lot of people wrote off Gaunce and Shink last season. It just goes to show what solid mentoring from Green's coaching staff can do for a young player.
  17. Playoff rankings released, a little surprised at the TCU/ Baylor shaft. No love for the big 12.
  18. Gaunce is. Businesslike, deliberate, disciplined, efficient, structured and tidy. He isn't going to dazzle, and he isn't going to frazzle you. He will just get it done.
  19. I bet he signs with a very high profile team. If you really look at it, we are in pretty big trouble going forward. Nothing in the farm anymore with major question marks in pitching.
  20. McCann may be the steal of the 2014 draft. Boeser has the potential to be the steal of 2015 draft. I like where we are headed.
  21. Why has every mobile version ever always crash back to the homepage as soon as you leave the app and return to it? God I was hoping that would be fixed.
