Take the knee. Censorship will only make the message louder

@DoughtysCheck maybe you could cite the study with a link. What you just expressed is a byproduct of a socio-economic climate, and general lack of independent critical thinking (as I pointed out). All soldiers will not do what they do for the same reasons or beliefs. The majority may for the wrong reasons join, but it's still not the flag that's at fault.
It's the perversion of what the flag stands for by the people who pervert it that is the cause. Protesting the flag is just the path of least resistance for people incapable of articulating the true reasons and motivations for what they're doing and why. -
@VanGnome " Protesting the flag is just the path of least resistance for people incapable of articulating the true reasons and motivations for what they're doing and why."
Come on now, thats being very condescending. CK and others know what they are articulating and there's nothing about their protest that speaks to other motivations.
Kneeling at the start of an NFL game is the biggest stage CK had to make his point, its the most visible means he had to say what he thought needed to be said. Are you really saying he shouldn't have that right, or that its somehow not "true"?

Why is kneeling "disrespecting" the flag? The US constitution has a Flag Code which specifically addresses "Respect" and it does not explicitly state that people must stand. People aren't "protesting the flag", that is a simplistic, reductive distortion of the meaning behind the protest.
People are kneeling to protest police brutality and racial inequality. They aren't protesting the damn flag.
