  1. 3rd rounder is too rich. Canucks can not afford to squander draft picks in the future.
  2. Can the hockey commentators get anymore biased in favour of Vegas? Yes, they are playing well but come on.
  3. Trade #3 is puzzling. Why would we give up our 1st round choice for scraps
  4. No to Bear. Also, need a better skilled, tougher 4th line.
  5. There will always be injuries. Keeping both of them for this year makes sense. Just try and get him at least 30 games.
  6. And no one on the Canadian team went after this cheap shot artist? Hey Myers how about standing up for your fellow Canuck teammate.
  7. Nope. Do not trade your first round draft choice this year.
  8. Keep our draft picks. We have given away too many picks and the minor league cupboards need players that can develop into the NHL level.
  9. Agree that we have enough players who can put the puck in the net (or at least close to it, lol). We need a shut down defenseman who still can move the puck out of his own end of the ice. I would try and bring back Schenn as the 7th guy on the roster. I am sure if the Laughs bow out in the first or second round he would be willing to come back to the West Coast for a decent salary.
  10. Like your thinking but I wouldn't sign Bear. Would look to package him in a trade.
  11. Bedard needs to pull a Lindros and demand he plays in his hometown.
  12. In his short stint he has played as well as any other defenseman in his own end. Plays within his capabilities.
  13. Agree that overall goalkeeping could be better but...... Our defense stinks. How many grade AA chances were gift wrapped by our defensemen over the season. Not just Myers and OEL but generally. Our play with Tochet and crew has improved lately. However, if we reduce the number of gift wrapped chances (like in last night's game) then perhaps the final outcomes of games would be better. Also, our penalty killing was absolutely terrible for most of the season increasing the grade AA scoring chances for the opposition. And lately, our powerplay has disappeared becoming too predictable again.
  14. Best thing I observed in last night's game was he was willing to get in the face of the opponents after the whistle. Too many Canucks have been just skating away. Time to stop receiving the cheap shots after the whistle and give some back. Also, loved Burroughs.
  15. How many of you think Schenn will be back in Vancouver next season? Was there a gentlemen's agreement between him and the Canucks before he left for the Laffs? Will Luke be in the Laffs lineup for the game Saturday afternoon?
  16. Two years at 1.5 million would probably fit both sides well. After that send him to Abbotsford as a coach to gain some experience. His passion for the game and mentoring abilities would be an asset for the Canucks system.
  17. Trade him for what the team can get that will improve the team, the draft picks or the farm. Waiting for him to improve isn't going to happen in Vancouver under any coach.
  18. Some continue to bash our goalkeepers. Two goals last night on deflections. Stopped breakaways. Screened by Myers the giraffe on skates twice. Most goalies will tell you, "let me see the shot coming. I can stop most of them if I can see them. If not, then that's on me." Our defence needs to knock guys down, push them out of the way, or get out of the way of their goalkeepers.
