  1. Yuk . jakes going to take another step this year. It may not be a huge one ,but it'll show.Confidence is all this kid lacks. Once he feels he can handle the pushback just watch him soar. Big hits, fore checking hard on terrrified D just trying to clear the puck before that train crushes them. All the turn overs from said forced play will create options for him and line mates alike. Nylander is not worth jake and tanman.
  2. The idea of Lucic in a Nucks jersey makes my stomach turn. Theres a reason why the coilers want him out of Edmonton, hes done as a player.Let some other team kick themselves after signing his retirement contract watching him go through the motions pretending he gives a @#@T.
  3. i honestly think that is the preliminary opening point for both sides. Eddy wants 4yr NTC, Benning and the nucks want 2yrs. Anything above 2yrs for Eddy is a mistake.
  4. Agreed , virt has a lot of similar skill sets as Boone.Size, speed, hitting machine, virt just needs to play with a snarl and same intensity consistantly like Boone. Virts got a way better shot.
  5. To bad Eddy says hes not interested in waiving. If he wants more than what the canucks brass are willing to absorb , you'd think he could net good trade value for the team after what hes done on the ice this year. I'm hoping if thats the case (wont sign for what the teams plans are or need to be ) Eddy hands management a list of teams and picks a playoff team to go to next year. Both tanev and Eddy traded should net a nice little return for the future.
  6. Pretty Rude. The guy puts his body on the line for his team, every game. If the puck hit anyone else where it hit Tanev they would have suffered the same results as would many of his injuries.Hes not there just for a paycheck.I see statementslike these as a complete lack of respect. BROKE HIS LEG blocking a shot.
  7. Thank you Jannick, have a happy well deserved retirement.
  8. lol haha, didnt even notice that .
  9. Not Sure, but iv'e noticed burning a year really isn't a big deal to many teams . It seems to be common. How many of the players the canucks drafted out of the NCAA choose not to sign with them? Yet instantly draws fans to believe the worst case if they choose to stay another year
  10. OK thanks. The last 2 pages made me believe hes not interested in Van. Just CDC paranoia.
  11. So why is Lockwood not signing with us? Because hes decided to go back for another year? Is this CDC or have the canucks org been notified?
  12. Peteys game tying goal in the 3RD against binnington sealed the deal in Peteys favor for me. Should have been Brock last year. The future sure looks GOOD!
  13. Agreed , but you could buy that house for the property its on (or bonus play) to bulldoze the house for a upgrade or possible target in UFA. Or a package deal for a player benning has his eye on.Not kicking dirt in Pearsons face .
  14. Possible trade for a pick in this years draft.Hes looked good , can he get us a good pick. Alot of showcasing going on in the last few games. Schaller gets off the pine, spooner a few games ect.
  15. Biega with another pretty impressive game. 26min TOI ,no penaltys, with an even +/-.
  16. I believe he is afraid. He really only starts pushing/pulling ,lite jabs or a face wash when the linesmen and refs are in between. You can see it in his expression just when a conflict starts. His natural born hockey gifts of speed, size, a really good shot and when he does deliver that hit, its bone crushing. His natural talents if he chooses to use them consistently(which he should) is always gonna attract physical attention in a retalitory way. Teach the kid to fight, build his confidence. Train him with fighters of his build on how to control opponents, pick his spots ect..I'm not saying "make jake an enforcer" but teach him these tools. All Confidence based. You can see the difference in a secure man compared to an insecure one.
  17. Nope , definately cant hang that 1st on Eddy . The Defense as a whole were awful. I wonder how many Canuck fans actually watch games other than nucks games. To much is expected from him for what he can provide. Its amusing reading accolades of his greatness 1 game and literally read he's shyte the next. I just find he can be very inconsistent , maybe its how much hes leaned on? im not sure.
  18. Exactly, the reason why he chose to stay .... the opportunity to showcase. He wouldn't have that in the Utica would he? Hence my point with him actually having these games to prove himself isthe reason he took the JBs supposed offer. Is pouliot a "nhl d-man"?Biega has better stats and offers more than pouliot does.
  19. Given consistent TOI is actually showing more of what Biega can and does offer.
  20. I'm not convinced anybody given that type of opportunity would SETTLE when theres much more available. Would you rather 65k/year in the AHL or 3-4-5 mil/year in the bigs?
  21. I'm pretty sure Beiga didn't just take the position to settle on being an 8TH D-man ,even IF thats only what JB had to offer at the time. Do you honestly believe anyone with an chance to excel at their chosen sport would say no" to a foot in the door opportunity"? laughable
