  1. Is the ECHL a stronger league than the OHL. Gadj dominated in the Ohl therefore will gain nothing playing 20 min in Kalamazoo over a 4th llne role in utica.
  2. Does he look that out of place that Kzoo is the better option for him? just wondering if a lot of his issues are his foot speed. Being a step behind may exasperate his other skills a bit more.
  3. Ive seen this talked about on the boards but i had just watched the video myself. absolutely busted a gut at EP's response to if he wanted to go home after that hit. LMAO
  4. I'm pretty sure there is a lot of interest from management in having Tryamkin back. If that's the case i'd be positive in saying that they are keeping an eagle eye on all aspects involving the big man. In the end all management can really do is tell him how much they'd like for him to come back. After that its on him. The past is the past let it go ,i bet tram has.
  5. Good on Bo,great response. This is what the canucks needed , he didnt go looking for the fight but definately did not turn away from it when the bell rang. Captain... my Captain.
  6. did brassard get hurt? havent seen him since late in the 2nd period.
  7. So many EP threads out there it takes me 1/2 hr to check them all for any news lol.
  8. I am watching last nights game again. He made Matheson look bad on more than one occasion in the first and second periods, let alone what EP40 did to him before the infamous body slam. There is at least 4 serious attempts by different players to get a piece of Elias not just to bump him off the puck but to no avail. He is very elusive. He will know just have to be taught counter evasion moves to body slams. thank god mathesons go to move wasn't the pile driver.
  9. That would be terriible. Hes way better than Sutter on the pk and we will miss those face off wins. Heal up well beagle your gonna be missed.
  10. Absolutely. Even add in the opposition not having to put anyone screening Marky because Eddy has that covered to. Marky can really make that 6' 6" frame look small when he balls up in that butterfly.
  11. LMAO thanks for that. So many self proclaimed profesionals in CDC eating crow. Well should be .

  12. Absolutely, agreed. Perfect opportunity to insert a Gaudett or a Dahlin.
  13. I didn't accuse anyone about not giving them a chance. I honestly believe with the Sedins gone there will be different options available with different line mates. Maybe they are given different assignments from the options they had last year.Who Knows why rush anything at the risk of losing another unnecessarily when no harm will come in taking it cautiously. Are we cup contenders?
  14. In my opinion it would be assinine to not give leipsic, goldy, granlund, motte, gaunce, hutton and other bubble waiver eligable players a real chance to make a go of it as canucks before ever risking a loss to waivers.I also believe that benning means what he says about "earning a spot" they will get it, even though it may not be given on the opening day roster.Management will need time to assess what they have , what their worth ,could they pass waivers if they had to and overall if they didn't ,how much would that effect depth.I would love to see if anything at most petterson make the team. All others who "earned their spot" be inserted in the line up when injuries occur or making available trades of the players they determine expendable after some evaluation this year. The beginning of the year may be 1 of the safest to waive players as many other teams are in a feeling out process also, but id like to see management take a good look first as many players have put in a bit o extra work over the summer. To have such a strong group play together as a team in Utica for a few months would do wonders to bond and then carry that bond up with them.We will see plenty of youth injected this year why rush it .
  15. Looking forward to seeing what Bo can do with a few more Offensive zone faceoffs this year.
  16. Or just maybe the D-corp or systems sweden employed were a step up from ours, making him look that much better.
  17. Maybe Elias's body will catch up to the size of his head, much like how the size of a dogs paw could indicate it's potential size full grown?
  18. Thats very noble of you to stand for the masses and wipe their tears. Of course as a discussion board there will always be differences of opinions but because others choose a different view there is no need to force yours upon any others.I blocked all of forsbergs and guntrixs posts and responses a long time ago so could avoid reading a page of callous remarks because a poster decided to share 1 of his/her thoughts about Jake. I find it much more palatable now, no matter what opinions are voiced.
  19. Lol ,Wow easy Bud? You can go back just a few pages to read the BS spewed from your superior knowledge on who has it or more so who will never get it. Waste of a first round pick, ect. You ,Guntrix, fosrsberg and a few others have not debated but tried to bully your negative thoughts down anybodys throats who had anything positive to say or even hope for jakes success. He's being played with players that showcase his skills, off the sedin line. I honestly believe he that period of time (the beginning of this years and last years stint in Utica) was designed to develop him defensively . Or it could be his incredibly low IQ....
  20. Eddy has played outstanding for the last month or so. Hes hitting, clearing the crease more, His shots are actually getting through, his all around game is up 2 fold.My question is this, is the decision whether the Sedins do not play next year already been determined. If they are not being resigned i can see Eddy working his arse off to be more attractive to a larger pool of predicted playoff bound teams. Maybe the team Eddy would wave for isn't interested because of his last 2 yrs of mediocrity.Or is there another reason for this abnomally that is Eddy's play of late.
  21. He is also creating a lot more scoring opportunities this year than in the past. Skating the puck out and following in after the pass for a shot or rebound. Not a lot more but more than he has done in the past.
  22. I would never think Travis or any of the coaching staff wouldn't want anything but the best for Jake, and of course it has been explained in full detail of whats expected from him.Maybe hes not processing this information as they'd like, obviously. He's been out of Jrs. long enough to realize he's no longer the big kid on the block but still has the tools to make the majority of NHL caliber players take a quick shoulder check when hes on the ice.I very rarely ever see him hit and less in on the foecheck. To me he looks nervous about making a mistake, therefore (at the risk of seeming to not acknowledge their coaching skills) think maybe it would be nice to let him wheel out there, play his game for a bit and reassess a new strategy for this kid.
  23. Maybe, but you'd think from past experiences that the canucks don"t have much of a problem calling out a player of being in adequate atheletic shape. I haven"t seen that posted anywhere as of yet in regards to Jake other than last year.
