  1. Yes, the official IIHF scoring has him getting an assist.
  2. Can't help but think if he plays on Team Canada instead of Comtois, would we have won the game today?
  3. Generated quite a few scoring chances on the PP. EP always knows what to do with the puck. His play at his own zone is very underrated. Saw him won some puck battles near the blue line to chip the puck out of his own zone as well. Looking good this game thus far.
  4. Just got home and saw Gadjo scored 2 goals for Canada
  5. Juolevi is on an historic pace for U20 defenseman at the Finnish league along with Heiskanen. I am confident that he will be a solid top 4 NHL D-man, playing a calm and cool game that can be count on all situations. As for his offensive number, it will depend on the role he plays, the team the Canucks build for in the future and the style of play of the entire team. Basically, he is a guy that could adjust to different kind of plays. If the Canucks are lucky and win the draft lottery and draft a Dahlin in next year's draft, Dahlin would be lean heavily towards playing and generating offence from the backend while Olli can be the guy calming and slowing the play down at a different pairing. In this case Olli's offensive stats will likely be around 25-35 points, getting mainly 2nd assists from making the first pass. If the Canucks don't draft another D-man with higher offensive potential, I see Benning either keep Tanev or find another elite level shut-down RHD to pair up with Olli and Olli will be counted generate offense. If that's the case, he could easily get 40-50 points or even 50+ if the Canucks forward group made up of Boeser, Pettersson etc. are as dangerous as they could be. Basically, I see him as a player that can do whatever the team asks him to do and it will be an valuable asset and building block to his team in the future.
  6. I love the way that he always makes the right pass and always gets it to his teamate and he seems to be able to create something out of nothing. I see him becoming a dominant 1st line playmaking center in his prime!
  7. Official IIHF scoring tally has the assist for him.
  8. His pass was the toughest to make for sure. It has to get through a bunch of opposition players. to get it to Nylander.
  9. EP with started a tic tac toe passing played finished by Lias Andersson and he picked up an assist for this Powerplay goal!
  10. I will say it's between him and future Canuck Rasmus Dahlin were the 2 best players for Sweden in the first period.
  11. Nylander has been bad so far this first period...
  12. EP Scored!!! 1-0 Sweden on the Powerplay! Wrist shot on the top of the circle!
  13. Sweden hasn't been playing to their game yet. The Belarus team was very effective in clogging up the neutral zone and Sweden hasn't have much sustained pressure in the O-zone. Pettersson is out there on a line with Alex Nylander and Lindstrom. That line looked average, not bad, not exceptional. Hope they find their legs and get some pressure on as now they are on the PP. Edit: EP plays one of the point on the PP.
  14. Though Lilgiren is a Leafs prospect though...
  15. Any friends/family of yours willing to let you use their account? I don't have TV subsription but a coworker of mine was willing to change their account to a temporary password and share it with me for the time being of the tournament.
  16. Free stream on the app or website as long as you have TV subscription. You have to log in with your whatever TV provider account on the TSN website or app to get access of the stream.
  17. To me there is average of about one generational talent per every 10 year. Likes of Orr, Gretzky, Lemieux, Crosby are all examples of generational talent. For this generation the only player that gets the title generational player should be Connor McDavid. Other than him, guys like Matthews, Laine, Eichel etc. and potentially Pettersson are examples of franchise players. Franchise players are rare too as these are players that teams can expect them to be very dominant in the league and be the cornerstone of the team for a decade. The Sedins in their prime are both examples of franchise players rather than generational player. It is not an insult to these players to be not consider a generational talent as to me a generational talent has to be the absolute best player for his generation by a margin. I am happy we may have 2 franchise level forwards Pettersson and Boeser. Hope we give them time to develop into the best players they can be.
  18. By the time that the team is clear out of playoffs contention, wouldn't mind to see him called up to start a game and see how he fares at the NHL level. We still have both goalies signed through next season, would still like to see Demko take some more time to develop and polish his skill at the AHL level before coming up to play in the NHL full time. By the 2019-2020 season I see him splitting the net 50/50 with Marky and be a full time NHL starter at 2020-2021.
  19. Gotta admit, when we first drafted him I was afraid he might become another Patrick White or Jordan Schroeder with our luck. But after watching his interviews after the draft and follow his play in NCAA, I think he had the potential to be a good first line player. Right now, he is trending to become a franchise player for this team. Couldn't be happier to see how he turns out!
  20. Fun fact Dube and Lind are actually only 3 months apart in terms of their age differences. Because of Lind’s birthdate, he was ineligible for the 2016 draft. Dube is born in July of 1998 while Lind is born in October of 1998. Personally, I like Lind’s game more than Dube’s.
  21. Probably cuz of my hatred towards the Flames and because he is a Flames prospect as well as the two are on the same junior team and I thought Lind is just overall a better player than him.
  22. It’s a joke that Dube makes it over him. Lind is a better player and I know Dube plays LW and Canada is thin on that position, but Lind can play all 3 forward positions and can be as effective on the left side as he is on the right. He is producing at a better PPG rate than Dube on the same team while playing with lesser line mates as well.
