I think Dallas would keep the pick even if they trade the pick, it wouldn't have been us acquiring it -

If Drafting Center, Draft at this order: 1). Vilardi 2). Glass 3). Mittlestadt 4). Petersson If Drafting Defenseman: 1). Heiskanen 2). Lijegren 3). Makar I explained earlier in another thread, I think Makar is overhyped, I believe Heiskanen and Lijegren are both better than Makar. -
2017 NHL Draft - Chicago, Illinois June 23-24 2017

If available draft in this order: 1). Vilardi 2). Glass 3). Mittlestadt If going for Defenceman: 1). Heiskanen 2). Timothy Liljegren Not a huge fan of Cale Markar as he seems to be over hyped. Playing at a tier lower also makes him look a lot better than he actually is and he seems a little too small for the Western Conference. -
I was just randomly browsing and just happen to see it, no guranteeds

From left to right: Cole Candella, Griffen Molino, Jakob Stukel

Good to see our prospects hanging out with each other during the off-season, good way to show they are bonding!
-
I think we will see a 5 x 5.5/5.75 million per year contract for Bo

I remember when JB traded Eddie Lack for this pick and all of CDC wanted his head-off and not even 2 years later, how the attitude had changed!

I honestly could careless if Tkachuk scores 20+ goals and 50+ points next year while Juolevi spends another year in junior. They are two different types of players playing at two different positions and defenceman take some more time to be NHL ready or in my words NHL effective. Just because he can play in the NHL doesn't mean it's good for his development, and the goal for Olli's development should be long term, because if he is developed properly I can see him as a dman that consistently putting up 40-50 points a year while leading the team in TOI, +/-, take aways etc. But this won't happen if he was rushed into the league to early and being thrown to a pack of wolves. Defence is one position that we have more depth in, and we can afford to have a guy like Juolevi spend another year developing. It's all about long term success rather than just a short term hype where the fans get to see him for the sake of seeing him play. That being said, if Juolevi show up to camp super ready and have a strong training camp we should give him his 9 games and we go from there.

I honestly wouldn't mind if he spend another year in Junior. He would be playing for the London Knights, an organization with great reputation of player development. It is much difficult for a defenceman to play well at the NHL level and the last thing we want to do is hamper his development. He is smart, with great hockey sense and he can see the ice very well and he can potentially be the best defenseman this franchise ever had and would not want to ruin it for him. Because next year is likely another dumpster year up in Vancouver with a lot of losing and if Miller doesn't resigns we will lose a lot more games and it really hampers the confidence of a young player espcial defenseman if we give up lots of goals. Let him develop, take his time, and then when his NHL ready, we bring him up and he could be both physically and mentally ready for the NHL.

#12 is retired for Stan Smyl We can give him one of #14 or #36, a way to give him a chance to carry on the legacy of one of the two great Canucks who put their heart and soul for the team every second they wore this jersey
-
After this game if Brock signs and gets a game with us this season, what number would he wear?
-
Very halirious guy, the Canucks would definitely miss more than just his on-ice play

Initially when O'Sullivan first brought up the story he may have a point and Burrows had the class and courage to own his mistake and apologized for it. As of now, O'Sullivan still continually bash Burrows, the Canucks organization and finds every single opportunity that is there to whine about Burrows, it goes to show how much of a baby he is and he is unable to move on from his past. There is no secret why he had such a short NHL career because his maturity and mentality level is nothing compare to those of Burrows. Burrows fought an uphill battle for his entire career and made his opportunities count. If O'Sullivan would of just put half of his focus into his professional career, he wouldn't have to be out of the league so early and has to rely on his stupid book (I mean if you first look at the name of the author many ppl would probably be like who is that) to make a living. No respect to Patrick O'Sullivan and his garbage and I will never buy his book (not like I plan to anyways) to support him.

First star of the game and the Sens fans seem to love him already! Very classy move by the Sens organization by presenting a Burrows jersey to Burrows's father. Great to see him fit well with the team and he got promoted to play on the top line with Turris and Hoffman in the 3rd (he started the game on the second line with Brassard and Stone). Happy for Burrows, now just hoping Dahlen becomes a great player for us down the stretch to make this trade a win-win trade!

well, guess who just scored again?! Burrows!!!
-
Burrows just scored for Senators!

The thread finally comes to an end.. best of luck to you Burrows, Ottawa will be my Playoff team this year no doubt

I remember my work supervisor who is a Habs fan telling me that Bo will only end up going to be a role player for a good team. And man now he is an all star and putting up great numbers playing with not the most talented line-mates. I can't wait til what he can do when he plays with Boeser. I really hope the Canucks focus drafting some skill forwards to play with Bo so we can see who he really is. Monahan's number for the past couple years were inflated cuz he played with Gaudreau and Bo is already putting up his numbers playing with only Baertchi and Burrows. Can't wail to see what Bo can do with an elite winger, go get him that guy JB! And also we need another center like Bo to form a 1 and 2 punch down the middle and that way we can be true cup contenders for the Bo Horvat Era!
-
It seems like this team has slowly transforming into Bo's team. I hope the Canucks can get Bo some consistent talented wingers down the road and hopefully find another scoring center to compliment his game to share some of his workload and make this team a true contending team in a few years!

I see the slump Sven is going through right now similar to the one Bo went through last year. Last year was Sven's real full NHL season and he was pretty much a rookie (tho he did played more than 25 games prior to last year but all in all last year was his actual full year in the league with a team). This year is his sophomore slump and I have notice him every game, making plays, going to the boards to dig out pucks and he wants to be a better player. I think his goals will come once he starts to score.
