I think all this talk over the last few days on how the leafs found a weakness on Vasilevski on TV absolutely pissed him off and he is now just shutting the door. If the Leafs fail to advance again, Sportsnet should take some blame. -
To me McDavid is domnating by pure talent (speed & skill). In terms of overall talent, using his teamates and on ice intelligence, I think quite a few players in the league are better including his teammate Draisaitl.

LA has Edler on the team, so it is easy to choose which one to root for. Also I remember the stupid smug Skinner had on his face after he beat us in Bruce's final home game, hated him since then.

They are actually good people and it was more a friendly chirp but I also gloated to them after our 4-1 win in March and gloated about the Pettersson and Miller shorthanded goals.

So the other day at work, 2 of my Leafs fan colleagues were talking abou tthe series and how they have to come back and win the series. And one of them said to me "you don't even get to say anything about the Leafs because your Canucks aren't even in the playoffs." I said to them "well atleast, I remember what it feels like to win a round, I can tell you a thing or two about how that works."

That game really pissed me off. Outplayed them, but all the goals Ryan scored were softies. Also, I was pissed because we needed the points for a tight playoff race and of course we are the first team to play Ryan out of rehab at home. And then how it all turns, Ryan eventually got back into his drinking habits again and got arrested for intoxication charges. -
This is the Sedin/Sedin play, or Pettersson/Boeser play.

Honestly, this is more of a Trent Cull/Travis Green blunder, poor development and usage of player. Benning at the very least signed him as a free agent and gave him a chance to play pro. I hate Benning, but this one isn't fully on him.
