  1. Gudbranson is a player who I think struggles with handling the big market and media like Vancouver. From the moment he arrived in Vancouver, it seems like he was trying to do too much to prove that he is worth what they have given up for. And from time to time, it does seem like he was paying attention to all the comments and stuffs said about him the Vancouver media. There is no coincidence that he is a better player when he plays for teams like Florida and Anaheim, there are just not as much of a distraction and he can just focus on playing his game. As for his brief stint in Pittsburgh, I think the style of play of the Penguins just don't suit him well. They are a fast skating, uptempo, offensive club who plays a speed and skill game which is not very suitable for Gudbranson's style. I still did not understand why Pittsburgh traded for Gudbranson, given his style of play is so far off of their team's model. Gudbranson excels in the trap game (which is the way they play in Anaheim currently).
  2. Still one of the most angry and pissed off moment in my time as a sports fan.
  3. I would actually like to see Leivo being brought back at less than $2 million than bring in Simmonds. Save cap space and I have not been a fan of Simmonds game for like a year and half now and he would just keep on declining.
  4. Yes, Game 5 was one of the most convicing ass kicking game I have watched the Canucks play. Love it that Doughty was absolutely livid in that series and he hated us ever since. I remember in Game 6 when the Canucks scored in the empty net to seal the deal, Doughty slams his stick in frustration. Love watching Doughty pouts like a cry baby.
  5. Well, all I know is that if and when the next Canucks home game where they allow fans to attend, I am going to that one.
  6. This is more wishful thinking. It it is a lot harder to get rid-off the player you list who are under contract. It will likely cost us some prospects or draft picks to the shed some of the cap spaces. Ferland is a big question mark and as much as I wish for him to return to the line up, I just don't know until he actually plays a handful of games without getting any concussion related symptoms. I would not pencil him in on the 1st line. There is no way Miller gets 3rd line minutes with the year he had, him and Pettersson were the most dominant forwards playing on a line together, so there is no way JT doesn't stick on the top line with Petey and Brock. I do like the players you choose to bring back and resign though, I think they are the ones I would want to keep as well.
  7. #3: Game 4 of the WCQF 2010 vs. Kings: I felt the series was won in that game as the Canucks were actually down 2-1 in the series heading into game 4 and the Kings had all the momentum heading into the 3rd period leading by a goal. I think the Canucks didn't even get a lead until like really late in the game where Henrik scored with 3 minutes left and we won the game and eventually the series. The tide was turned in the 3rd period of game 4, if we lost game 4, I don't think we would've won the series. #2: Stanchion Magic in Game 5 WCF in 2011 vs. Sharks. Very self explanatory, the Canucks are going to the Stanley Cup Final! #1: WCQF Game 7 in 2011 vs. Blackhawks: Can't stand the Blackhawks at the time, and I would not have been able to take it if we lose to those guys 1 more time.
  8. I am more interested to see the result of Weber's contract. Because he was also traded away by the team that initially gave him that contract massive contract. Would see if Nashville gets any penalty for it.
  9. I will share my thoughts on this matter. Do I believe Hossa has an equipment allergy that he has been dealing with thoughout his career? Yes. Do I think this is legit? Yes. However, when the Blackhawks gave him that contract, they know full well of this situation and they were already planning to cheat the cap with this all the way through. This is what aggravates me the most as the league is also aware of what the Hawks were up to the entire time. Hossa's contract was signed a year before the Luongo contract. Yet, no rule was put in place until the Canucks do the same thing with Luongo. The league basically turns a blind eye to all this until the Canucks decides to do what everyone else is doing. The fact that the Canucks are the only team to have a cap recapture penalty is a complete joke.
  10. Voting Bo Horvat, nominating Elias Pettersson!
  11. It's like the Sabres would've been better off just holding onto him until the TDL and could've gotten the better deal.
  12. Gaudtte and Virtanen would be paid more. More points and better points per game.
  13. Voted Horvat, nominating Elias Pettersson!
  14. Lucic at 1 million would be ok. We could also get rid-off Loui's 6 million with the buy out.
  15. This plan might be possible now as with the drop of the cap due to this pandemic, FA might want to sign a shorter deal to wait until the economy gets back up before committing to any long term deals.
  16. Can't wait for him to be the Swedish player in Vancouver to actually produce points consistently wearing the #21 jersey!
  17. I think if they get to play with a consistent 30 goal scoring power forward on their wing would make a huge difference.
  18. Wonder when is Laine going to stream him playing Fortnite?
  19. R.I.P. Colby Note to all: cherish every moment you have with your love ones, because you just never know what happens next.
  20. A few more weeks without Canucks games, we will all become this guy eventually
  21. I read books and watch old shows. During the hockey season, I don't read and watch shows as much as I would, so this is just a time for me to catch up.
  22. So these mofos would ban Harry Potter books yet still have mass gathering in churches during a pandemic.
  23. Umberger was rumour to be a cancer in the locker-room. Kesler and him hated each other back in the College days when they were on the same team. It was one or the other and I am glad the Canucks made the right decision in keeping Kesler.
  24. if the season is reduced from 82 to 76 games, each team loses 3 home games. So for 32 teams, that is a total 96 games lost. On average base on a quick google search, the profit of an average Regular season game is $1,311,860.16. 96 games multiply by $1,311,860.16 that is an estimated loss of $125,125,938,572.48. You distribute that number to 32 teams, each team would lose $3,935,580.39‬ in profit per year during the regular season. Let's round this up about $3.9 million each. That would be the amount to sign for an average middle 6 forward or a #4 defenseman. Would be interesting to see if teams would go down this road.
