  1. I think 2009-2010 was the best top-6: D. Sedin (29G, 85 PT in 63 GP) - H. Sedin (29G, 112 pts) - A. Burrows (35G, 67 pts) Raymond (25G, 53 pts) - Kesler (25 G, 75 pts) - Samuelsson (30G, 53 pts) Art-Ross winning 1st line center in Henrik. If Daniel wasn't injured, he would've been closer to 35 goals himself as well. Everyone on the top 6 with atleast 25 goals each. A 35 goals burrows and a 30 goal Samuelsson to boot. They scored a lot of goals that year as a team and only Washington scored at a higher rate than the Canucks that season. In 2011 we had 2 players with 41 goals but burrows only had 26 goals and Henrik dropped below 20. Both Samuelsson and Raymond didn't hit the 20 goal mark as well and I always thought the top 6 production overall actually dropped in our historical 2011 season.
  2. Most college kids family settles in that region of the East. NYR is the biggest major city in that area, it is both close to home and convinient to travel to anywhere else.
  3. If that's the case, it will benefit the team even more. Could probably win 6 of 8 against playoff teams and split the the bottom feeders (seeing us win against LA and San Jose but lose 2 more to Anaheim just because) and we would be looking at a playoff spot too. But in any way shape or form, please just win. We need to win as many games as possible. Don't care how, don't care who, just win please. Win and make the playoffs. I am dying for some playoffs hockey for my favourite team.
  4. Tomorrow is win at all cost. The Canucks must have the attitude of playing the game like it was the last game on the line!
  5. Find a way to get rid-off 2 of the following contracts + trading Jordie Benn and let go of Fantanberg: Eriksson - $6 million Roussel - $3 million Sutter - $4.4 million Beagle - $3 million
  6. I always wonder who is the mini Brad Marchand. He is literally a smaller version of the same guy.
  7. Which is what makes this so frustrating. We can't blame this on the Hutton, Del Zottos, Gudbranson and Pouliot etc. anymore. For the most part, we have NHL level defenseman regularly this season. I just don't get how they still struggle to to play in their own zone. They are one of the best offensive teams in the league and have an all-star MVP calibre goalie in Markstrom, Demko at this stage of his career is a perfectly fine back up. If we could just be average in our own zone, we would be a lock to make the playoffs and arguably lead this division (since we are in a weak division), but instead, we are battling so hard to just get a wild-card spot. At a certain point, I don't think it is the defensive personnel, it is on the system.
  8. It is their play in their own zone that's troublesome. Other than QH's exceptional IQ, no one else seems to know how to break out from their own zone.
  9. Too many these kind of games lately. Didn't play bad, but didn't play excellent as well. Right now, it isn't about playing well, it is about getting some results. Can't afford to just win some and lose some, have to go on a 3-5 game win streak to spark things off.
  10. This could benefit the Canucks short-term as there are less distraction for the players to worry about.
  11. Hoping for a 2nd round playoff match up between the Canucks and Avalanche after we knock off the Blues in the first round
  12. Hate to break this to you, but that would be a Reebok jersey and the current jerseys are adidas.
  13. He needs to watch less of Henrik’s YouTube highlights. Instead he should watch more Daniel highlights from 2009-2012.
  14. Our PP is actually one of the best in the league. I know it seems like ours suck but even if your PP is clicking at 30%, there is still that 70% of the time you don’t score. Defense on the other hand is a mess.
