  1. I looked up a lot of info about pulled meniscus immediately after the Marky injury.
  2. Eriksson - hope he just retires at the end of this season Sutter - at worst he will be on the team 1 more year his contract comes off the books Beagle - atleast he is good for faceoffs, but yes way over paid. But we signed him the year he won the cup and was an integral part of their 4th line Ferland - a gamble worth taking. LA took the same gamble on Willie Mitchell and it paid dividend to their 2 cups, just an overall unfortunate situation Benn - he likely gets moved in the off season Luongo - this is bull$&!# as Hossa's contract was signed a year before and is basically the same tactic cap circumvention, but of course Hossa is allowed to be "allergic to his hockey equipment" while there is a recapture penalty on the Canucks for Luongo. If the Predators don't get cap-recapture for Weber, we should sue the league for this bull$&!#
  3. I know it may seem like we blow leads all the time, but the truth is when leading after 2 periods, the Canucks have only lost 3 times including today. The reason why we think we blow leads all the time is when we blow them, we blow them in style.
  4. But it is getting harder and harder to win, it is not impossible but it is an uphill climb from here on without Markstrom. I can see Demko rebound well for the next home stand, we will see where we are headed.
  5. Every road trip we go on this season has been momentum/confidence killers, especially Eastern road swing. On the bright side, we don't have any Eastern road trips anymore after this.
  6. I have realized that for the last little while. Can’t win with a road record like this one. At this rate we are looking to have to win every home game the rest of the season in order to have a chance
  7. Can’t blame refs on this one, they let a lot of stuffs go and didn’t call the penalties until they have to. Blame the PK, Columbus had the 26th rank PP yet they go 2 for 2
  8. It really wasn’t that pathetic until the 2nd Columbus goal. They played it well and then just some crap happens. I guess this is it... No Markstrom... no playoffs...
  9. Goodbye playoffs, it was fun thinking about you...
  10. They were playing really well until that stupid 2nd goal and then it all just falls apart...
  11. Take Roussel off the PP and put MacEwan there please.
  12. Don’t want to disrespect Jamie Leach or anything, but i just did a quick search. Jamie has never played a single playoff game in his career and he is a Stanley Cup winner. This further proves that the Stanley Cup is a team award, not an individual award.
  13. Agree with you. When it comes to the playoff race, you should always root against the team below us in the standings. If those teams below us cannot catch us means we can make it.
  14. Agree, we have not been a strong road team all season even when we had Markstrom. We must take care of home ice and win atleast 3/4 of those games and hoping for the rest of the road games we win about half of them.
  15. Let's not harp on a kid after 2 bad games. Markstrom had his fair-share of bad games until he figures it out in the league. Long term, I still believe Demko as a starter at the NHL level. Right now, someone (prefereably a veteran) on the team should just go to him, tell him just go out there and have fun and dont worry about the points and playoff implications. I think he needs to relax a bit and just play with confidence. Another point is, so far all these games have been on the road and if the Canucks can remain dominant on home ice, and go 0.500 on the road for the rest of the season, we should still be fine.
  16. This is way too harsh to lay it on Demko. Yes, the were goalies who stepped up for their team, but there were also many who doesn't. Also, there are still 18 games left, who knows what will happen, maybe he bounces back the next game he was in net for. Road has been tough for the Canucks this season, and especially for Demko as well. I am just hoping for 0.500 on the road the rest of the year and go about 0.650-0.700 on home ice and we should still be good enough to make the playoffs.
  17. No one, it just means we will have to pay premium to re-sign Markstrom
  18. 1:30 would be better but 2:16 left is way too early to pull the goalie within a goal
