Jack Rathbone will be our Adam Fox. What we have and they don’t have is a Quinn Hughes. -

Proves VC is more than human. I literally typed this as I saw Beagle step out on the bench and some how VC still beat me. -

&^@# Messier! Jim Robson describes it the best. Even if it wasn’t on camera, I can see that image in my head. -
Edler has been awesome this season. We don’t respect our Edler enough among the fan base here!

2019/20 World Junior Championships
ruilin96 replied to Deathrowe's topic in General Hockey Discussion
I know. Remember what Samuelsson said to Swedish Hockey Associations after he was snubbed? That’s what I want to say to them as well. Hog still learned a lot in this tournament and will benefit and make him a better player long term and that’s what matters. -

Elias Pettersson was not one of the top 3 Swedish players in 2018. So I am not concerned about Hogs not chosen as one. Swedish hockey from time to time is proven it makes stupid decisions. Like the 2010 Olympic who decided to snub Samuelsson, who was having a career year that season: -
JT Miller trade to me is still a win-win situation. Tampa Bay got to free up the cap space to resign Point and got 2 draft picks (1st round and 3rd round). Canucks got a very good top 6 scorer who is arguably the MVP of this team. This trade isn’t completed because we don’t know who that 1st round pick will be. Tampa with an extra 1st round pick in the draft could mean they can move a first for assets to add to their playoff run. Overall, I think it’s a good trade for both teams. The Gudbranson for Pearson trade is wizardry. We moved out a player with a big cap bit who is struggling; in most cases, moving a player with a high cap hit (with terms left as well) and poor performance often results in giving up assets or retaining salary. Bending didnt had to retain any salary or give up any asset. Not only that, but the player we got in return is scoring at 60 point rate and is a top 6 scoring winger. That’s turning a piece of rock into a piece of gold. Penguins ended up moving Gudbranson and got back virtually nothing in return.

Edler has 20 pts in 31 games and he is a +4. Giordano has 19 pts in 42 games and has an even +/-. If Giordano goes, Edler should be there as well by this logic. Only reason Giordano is there is because he was snubbed in favour of some Sharks players last year. They want to make it up for him.

That’s probably the case, but regardless, I am voting for QH hardcore.

Canucks must keep the pressure on and don't take the Rangers lightly. They lost 2 close games in Alberta and will be coming in this one pissed of and looking for some points, got to play a strong 60 minutes game and extend the winning streak. Going to this game as well, so GO CANUCKS GO! -
[Report] John Tortorella fined $20,000

Torts is the one of the last pure honest guys in the game. He calls a spade a spade. -
[Signing] Maple Leafs re-sign Justin Holl
ruilin96 replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
This guy is a decent depth defenseman who plays well in his role. Don't know how much room he has to improve at his current age, but he is having a solid season this year. -
2021 WINTER CLASSIC TO BE IN MINNISODA
ruilin96 replied to Squamfan's topic in General Hockey Discussion
Minnesota vs. Winnipeg Minnesota vs. Colorado Minnesota vs. Chicago Please don't make it Minnesota vs. Vancouver. Outdoor games are more of a gimmick, and I rather the Canucks can just focus on regular hockey. Although, I do see the Canucks playing a global-series game in Sweden at some point because of how dominant EP has been in the league and he is a Swede. I could see Vancouver plays 2 games in Sweden against an Eastern Conference opponent at some point. -

Don’t know if Canada is going to win against Finland in the Semis, but something tells me Utunen will be on the scoreboard with points tomorrow, this guy seems to thrive on scoring against Canada.

That’s the point I am trying make. Can’t just call somebody a bust just because they haven’t played a game in the NHL yet at the age of 21.
-
Teemu Selanne would’ve been considered a “bust” by fans today as he didn’t make the NHL until his Draft+4 years.
-
Not the details. Especially opposing team players.
-
It should be secretive. Because this prevents other team’s players targeting the injured player where they were previously injured in order to take them out of the game.
