  1. Why not? In pre-season I can see a line like that for sure. That's a very balanced line and IMO could be an actual line next season if Dahlen makes the team. At this point I'm quite convinced Pettersson is going to start the year at center, because we don't have a center that's skilled enough to play in our top 6. If Dahlen (who IMO is our most NHL ready prospect after Pettersson) makes the team, no question he'll be Pettersson's line-mate. Baertschi - Horvat - Boeser Dahlen or Goldobin - Pettersson - Eriksson Gagner - Sutter - Virtanen Roussel - Beagle - Granlund Schaller If Dahlen has a better pre-season than Gaudette, I'd send Gaudette down to the minors and call him up when injuries inevitably plagues the team. Also, the whole group of RW's is pretty interchangeable. Virtanen with those two is interesting, but I really want to see what Eriksson can do with Pettersson and Dahlen first. Eriksson scored 30 goals and 63pts in 2016 playing with skilled players like Krejci and Spooner. Pettersson and Dahlen are eerily similar to their playing styles and could be what Eriksson's needs.
  2. He should have gotten more, was quite disappointed. /s
  3. so 3 goals and 2 assists for today
  4. if you want to watch him lvie right now. made such a sweet assist already
  5. They're waiting on Hughes's decision so they can make moves accordingly, it would be selfish if he had waited until the last minute, especially if he decides to turn pro.
  6. I wouldn't mind giving Golobin a try with Pettersson during pre-season.
  7. This isn't a personal attack on you, so please don't take it like that. I don't know if you do this on purpose, but it's Boqvist, not Bomqvist. It's annoying that you haven't gotten that figured out. Not trying to be a grammar police as I love to half ass punctuation too, but you've been told many times to correctly name players and it's quite annoying when you choose to ignore that. Otherwise, I agree with your post.
  8. Stecher should not be traded, we are shallow with RHD. If we're moving a defenseman, it has to be a LHD like Hutton, Pouliot, or Del Zotto. I suggested moving MDZ to Carolina but they got De Haan to fill the Hanifin void. But I still think MDZ is our best trade bait, if we decide to trade a d-man.
  9. Looks like his back is healed up!
  10. nah, i agree with all but. not the juolevi and pettersson one
  11. Pettersson puts up 31 goals and 65 points. Boeser has a 55-60 point season. Horvat with 60 points (25-35) Virtanen scores 20 goals 10ish assists. We miss the playoffs. Quinn Hughes comes in near the end of the year and gets a string of points. Pick top 10 in 2019 draft.
  12. Just as good as he is offensively. Kelowna used Lind in all situations, PP and PK time etc. He's very cerebral and poised. There's really not much to not like about his game. I t think he starts the year in Utica and maybe gets called up here and there throughout the season. I'm curious to see if he can translate his game to the AHL level.
  13. I mean the edginess is there, but Lind is an overall better player than Roussel offensively speaking. Roussel is more of a $&!# disturber, Lind can be that but that's not primarily his game. Lind is almost like a Kesler in that regard.
  14. you'll look thin by hanging with fatter people
  15. Yes, Lind plays with an edge, and also had a reputation in the WHL as a pest. Quite the trash talker and really throws off the opponents (taunts the fans a lot too). I've watched him live quite a bit this season and he's always engaged somehow physically or always in the middle of scrums and unfortunately some liberties taken on him. Aside from that, he's as fast and skilled with the puck as Simmonds, though Lind is definitely the better playmaker at the same age than Simmonds was. that's just my take on Lind. Hoping for a productive year in Utica with him along with Dahlen, Gadjovich etc
  16. Baertschi would need to be moved primarily if we are getting Maroon. Though, not really interested in Maroon.
  17. His frame and size as well as game reminds me more of a Wayne Simmonds.
  18. Schaller's never fought an actual fighter other than Gudbranson and we all know how that turned out. Search up some Roussel fights on your spare time, he wins a lot of fights surprisingly and only really got his ass handed to him by McLeod twice, Shaw twice, and McQuaid. He's dominated multiple times notably against Ferland, Iginla, Weber and etc who are considered pretty decent fighters. Schaller has way too much of a small sample size compared to Roussel. After realizing this is a Hughes thread, I'll stop derailing further.
  19. You are severely underestimating Roussel. The guy is a pest but he does not back down from fights and oddily enough he loves going after way bigger guys and does well. I would say Roussel is a better fighter than Dorsertt too. Also Beagle is NOT a tough guy or a guy that will answer to any shenanigans, don’t know why people think that. Not his job anyway.
  20. the minus is back :0

    1. King Heffy

      King Heffy

That anti-Benning troll got down to -100 or so in a single day.

    2. smithers joe

      smithers joe

i feel sorry for the kid. he obviously craves attention. he/she must be a lonely person. hasn't any constructed criticism, just negative opinions that hurt, not help the rebuild. maybe he just needs a hug.
