  1. Fox is a UFA next year so there is a chance he could bolt if he decides to not sign. I think Fox dictates which side really wins this trade.
  2. I don't understand why Carolina wanted to trade Hanifin so badly? They become weaker on their left side.
  3. Mean, physical, smooth skating defenseman with an offensive upside. The ideal Quinn Hughes partner. Juolevi, Hughes, now Woo. Our defense is really shaping up.
  4. Wanted Wilde, but can't not like a player with a name like that
  5. Quinn said he can play for the Canucks right now.. get er done Benning.
  6. Yes, or at least he turns pro and goes to Utica. I think the AHL is the current level he's at. The only thing I see a concern is his decision making sometimes as he tends to do a lot of risky stuff. I'm not even concerned about his size. He's got the speed, the agility, and smarts to avoid the physical stuff and most likely won't get touched at all. His incredible tenacious backchecking ability also makes it easier for him to defend. He's very defensively sound and other than his skating and puck ability, is what really struck me most at the Worlds. Unlike others in the draft class, he's good in all facets. I don't think this organization has ever had the skating and puck ability that Hughes has and he's only 18. Hughes dominated his college season in his draft year. He plays with predominantly 23-25 year olds, he has a handful of experience playing against seasoned veterans and NHL'ers at the Worlds, and didnt look out of place once. I'm actually quite confident he turns pro. I wouldn't throw him into the NHL just yet, but I surely have him in Utica.

  8. Going to be refreshing seeing a defenseman that can skate with the puck. Hughes is going to be the play driver for this core.
  9. This guy's potential is insane. 2nd best defenseman in the draft
  10. that's solid. maybe he comes to camp somewhere close to 190lbs then, which is very good. More concerned with his strength than weight anyway.
  11. feels weird to see Sedins and retired in the same sentence :(

Imagine how much more weird the locker room will feel.

End of an era. Time for the young guns to step up and come into their own. Bo is a character guy. He will lead our team by example regardless of what letter is on his jersey.

  12. Is it just me or is the board really buggy, especially on mobile?

Was it even running on mobile?

  13. that's funny. im glad that he's training with barber.
  14. well he's getting surgery on his thumb and is injured up to 1 month. somewhat significant considering how this might cut into his training time in the off-season and a huge emphasis on him needing to gain strength.
  15. I put a laughing emoji because you really can’t make this $&!# up. Every notable prospect except Hutton and Gaudette has had a significant injury before their debut.
  16. Many are forgetting he still needs to sign an ELC. So actually there could be a chance he might return to sweden. Eliteprospects have him returning next year but dont know much like everybody else. he's fully finished his season so I guess we'll know soon. Not saying he isn't NHL ready as he's looked good in the worlds but who knows, if he feels that he's not ready he could return for another season. Obviously his coach and gm at Vaxjo have been milking the "he needs to gain weight/strength" line but just pointing it out there that there's still a good chance he returns for another season. Hopefully he does make the jump. I think he's reached the point where there's really not much to accomplish at Sweden. He's broke every single records and has a SHL ring. I might just be rambling about nonsense.
  17. and that marks the end of his terrific season. now he can rest up and get ready for camp
