  1. I remember that. That was brutal but hilarious. The puck didn’t even curl over the net, it curled to the opposite side of the goal line underneath the face off circle. And he was 2ft from the net. That was some beer league play Lol
  2. Kids a beauty. Hopefully he gets 2 or whatever more points in this his last 2 or so matches
  3. Dahlin, welcome to Vancouver.

dahlen and dahlin together? good replacement for sedin sedin I guess?

      Not with this team's luck.

  4. Lmao, Gudbranson got speared before by the same team a couple of years ago.

      so much envy it appears

  5. Merkley's was terrific in the first period for Guelph. He's basically Guelph's offense and he plays d. Yes he does have those defensive lapses but I would not mind grabbing this guy with our 2nd round pick if he falls that far which I doubt. He's probably the purest offensive defenseman in this draft.
  6. Boeser and Horvat also had skating issues too and it didn't really hinder them at all. I think it's flawed logic. I know what you're saying, we need more fast players in the line-up. Though, Pettersson, at least in my opinion, isn't a skater who will wow you with skating either but his raw skill talent. I would rather have the guy who is very skilled with decent skating ability vs a speedy player with not much skill to keep up with. Though it would be cool to find a player that can breeze like the wind WITH the puck. Leipsic seems like our only forward that can do that.
  7. Vilardi looks pretty good not gonna lie. If he was only 30 days older with the kind of numbers he's putting in the OHL, he would be a top 3 pick in this draft.
  8. Lmao, this kid is feisty
  9. Wow, I didn't know Luongo's kids went to Stoneman High and that his wife is from Parkland and they live there. Pretty crazy stuff, and to hear about the news all the way from the west coast in Vancouver of all places of course. Pretty powerful tribute from Lu:

Kids go to school in parkland, not at Stoneman high particularly. I don’t think they’re old enough to be in high school yet.

Lu is such a class act. One of my fav Canucks of all time

  10. Gaudette scores a goal from the slot. Had an assist earlier. Currently has 26 goals and now has reached 50 points.
  11. I remember wanting to sign McNally over Hutton. Glad we didn't.
  12. More of a Kesler type rather than a Burrows. But yes, Gaudette did seem to piss off some players in the beanpot final mainly brady tkachuk. He's also got a bit of swagger to him, very refreshing indeed to have something like that.
  13. Actually, those aren't the actual votings but fan votings. However, the fan voting is a real good starting point and generally the winner of the fan voting usually gets the Hobey Baker.
  14. You might actually have something going with those line-ups. If Pettersson makes the team next year I doubt he'll be playing center. I see him playing on the wing, probably the right wing. Though I hope he plays in Utica next year for at least half the year to get accustomed to NA. With Lind, Gadjovich, Dahlen and others heading to Utica, they will for sure have a decent team. Next year potentially and assuming we draft Tkachuk and the Sedins retire: Kane/Horvat/Boeser Tkachuk/Gaudette/Virtanen Baertschi/Granlund/Eriksson Gagner/Sutter/Archibald Gaunce Dowd That would be one very gritty, yet skilled line-up.
  15. Bad penalty by Tkachuk. Gaudette scores on the PP. And that's one of the downsides of Tkachuk. Takes a bad penalty while down 3-1.
  16. Tkachuk is BPA if you're not drafting Dahlin and Svechnikov.
  17. yeah, then mixing it up with gaudette. Just before that intercepts a pass and gets it to a teammate for a scoring chance. 2 shifts and he's made an impact.
  18. Brady Tkachuk bulldozing his way to the net causes havoc and gets a goal for his team. Exactly what we're missing.. pls benning draft him edit: (overturned goalie interf). but still, first shift and he's already making an impact.
  19. Hopefully our scouts are watching this game because Tkachuk.
  20. He weighs 181. Unless you're saying he was 168lbs in his draft year, then never mind.
  21. Yeah, him at center it seems like hasn't worked out. Not a great faceoff man either. I mean if he really practices being center in the off-season and such and gains 20 more lbs, then yeah I could potentially see him as a center, but I don't think that's going to happen at this point. We're just going to have to consider him as a winger and that's fine.
  22. no boeser, canucks lose a stinker for the 3rd straight game, and barzal with his 3rd 5th point night, first player in 100 years to do that.

I'm not especially concerned about the Calder race at this point. The more discouraging part is how this team is dampening my passion for hockey at the moment.

I remember making a thread about Barzal, I think it was one of my first posts ever on this boards. Time sure does fly

  23. Rangers team even sends a public letter saying they're going to be rebuilding.. dang.

I feel bad for Vigneault. He's been so close twice now. If he's let go, he'll get another shot for sure. He's a fantastic coach.

  24. E.Kane 2 points in his last 17 games. yikers.

      SabreFan1

He's been in the middle of a huge drought.  He was bumped from the first line to the third last month which isn't helping his totals either.

Reinhart took Kane's place next to Eichel and has 10 points in the last 9 games as a result.
