    Olli Juolevi | #48 | D

Juolevi's not a flashy player but he was one of Finland's best defenseman along with Valimaki. 2nd most minutes behind Heiskanen. Moved the puck well and he had a few outlet passes that should've been tape to tape but Finnish forwards had a hard time collecting passes from the d. Finland's offense lacks a dynamic, game changing player. Lots of good two-way forwards and a mix of big forwards but very little players that can drive the play.
  2. He could have gotten 4-5 points tonight. Made a beautiful pass to someone in the slot earlier in the game and he rang it off the post with the net half open. Also had a terrific wrap around attempt but he couldnt quite corral the puck. It was evident that players wanted to give Pettersson the puck as quickly as possible. He created so many chances he reminded of Joe Thornton out there with that long reach and lanky frame. Dahlin and Pettersson seemed to have lots of chemistry particularly in the PP as Dahlin used Pettersson as the go-to guy. All we need is to win the lottery and get Dahlin. We deserve a player like him for once!
  3. pettersson with almost an assist but his teammate rang it off the post
  4. liljegren has had 3 or 4 bad defensive plays including that belarus goal..
  5. imagine dahlin and pettersson on this team praying we get dahlin.
  6. holy crap Gadjovich is freaking ripped.... He's got that buzz cut going. you know he means business when he cuts his flow
  7. Rodin was very injury prone and i agree that he never really recovered from his injury. He was rushed. I remember Rodin getting like 7-8 points in the 2016/2017 pre-season but then was taken out due to him aggravating his injury. He was rushed from the beginning to the end. Injuries decimated his career. After we terminated his contract and he signed in Davoc (swiss), after just 5 games he broke his leg again... just unfortunate luck.
  8. Not to mention he's expressed playing in Vancouver in multiple interviews and his goal is to make the nhl asap. he also toured the city just before the draft because he had sense of feeling he was gonna get drafted by us and benning/linden had lunch with him in vancouver few days prior to the draft. don't know why we're even discussing this really. no chance at all he bolts. its not so easy for him to do so anyways
  9. I think he would need to wait until he's 25 or 26 to become an UFA as we hold his rights until then. But still, that's extremely extremely x1000000000 unlikely to happen
  10. IMO, Pettersson's season in the swedish league is far more impressive than Heiskanen's feat in the finnish league though both are very impressive. I'd say hes definitely the 2nd best player of the draft without a doubt. Though i agree Hischier is number one for now. I'm just drooling of a potential Pettersson/Boeser duo.
  11. I wonder how Minnesota fans feel about passing over hometown kid Boeser for Joel Eriksson ek whos having a rough time transitioning to NHL
  12. Question, when is the first batch of WJC games?
  13. He doesn't play with Tavares. The only time they play together in on the PP1.
  14. Let's just say it's going to be a test for Pettersson playing on NA ice. He said he wants to dominate and I agree with you 100% but there are going to be fans in this fanbase that will be left disappointment if Pettersson doesn't produce at a PPG or has a sub par kind of effort.
  15. painfully long movie too considering there's so many of those blank scenes
  16. Honestly, it would accurately represent Vancouver.
  17. The more I think about it, the more I think The Last Jedi was actually a pretty bad movie. Made a movie review in the rate the movie you just watched thread a few days ago and gave it 7.5/10 but honestly, the movie doesnt even get a 6 anymore for me.

I keep hearing this... is it the acting or is it just badly edited?

Other than the first Star Wars, which ones were really good?  I did like the one from (last year?) where Han Solo is murdered by his son.  Otherwise, maybe the rest are just not that good?

  18. I think this is best comparable. Even the way they both skate is so similar. Both aren't overly fast players but have a motor that keeps on running. Real good in the defensive side of things and both real smart players. I think Gadjovich is going to be our 2nd line LW possibly alongside Horvat or Gaudette (would much prefer to have Pettersson has the number 1 LW alongside Horvat and Boeser) and a possible Gadjovich/Gaudette/Lind as our 2nd line in the future. Real gritty, hard to play against 2nd line.
  19. I frickin forgot about that Luke throwing the lightsaber away. I heard a "the hell?" from someone when that happened. I for one didn't like that either and had a similar reaction. Neither did Mark Hamill. Apparently Hamill said it himself that he didn't like the part where he had to throw the lightsaber behind him like that but they made him do it. There were a lot of things Hamill and the co disagreed on. A lot actually. That was an evident example. I mean I wouldn't mind if he were to lightly throw it aside rather than just chucking it behind him like that.
