  1. Your sources literally came from the same website dude
  2. So apparently Stamkos’s 500th goal makes it the 6th time we allowed a player to score their 500th goal against us.
  3. I'd love for us to just goon it up tonght in honor of Odjick. Leave tampa with a couple of injuries, perhaps run Elliot over, or board someone
  4. The purpose of my argument is sexuality without societal implications such as denial or phobia and etc. Denial is not relevant to the discussion in this instance. There is little evidence to show there are genes, or multiple genes at play, that definitively suggest we are predisposed to our sexuality. There aren’t any bisexual, gay, straight, bi-romantic, hetero-romantic, etc specific processes of dominant genes that actually causes someone to be that specific type of sexuality from conception to birth. Of course there could be certain groups of genes that so far have shown might have slight variations that determine sexuality, but it remains largely inconclusive. At least again from the evidence I’ve researched and seen.
  5. I am open minded, and I love being proven wrong all the time. However, you and countless others on here love to shame and belittle others for sharing an argument that is of the contrary. And at no point did I use religion into this. I am not religious at all. Again, trying to paint the narrative that I’m coming at this with a religious perspective to try and strengthen your argument, like dude
  6. These articles are to question the validity of whether sexuality is 100% biological. You cherry picking parts to further boast your claim while trying to make me look bad is not going to change that. I am arguing, strictly, whether sexuality is biological or not. I am not arguing whether or not it’s a choice based off of societal implications, but strictly, to the very person, if sexuality has a genetic component, environmental component, or both.
  7. Wait, so you literally just used the same sources as the biblical site to prove your claim, and you are ridiculing me for using it? Like I said, there isn’t conclusive evidence. There’s studies and research showing there’s some evidence that there are possible genes that play a role, but as of today, there’s nothing out there as far as I can see that suggests it’s definitively, 100% biological.
  8. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/amp/science/there-is-no-gay-gene-there-is-no-straight-gene-sexuality-is-just-complex-study-confirms https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20160627-i-am-gay-but-i-wasnt-born-this-way https://www.mentalhelp.net/blogs/being-gay-a-life-style-choice/ https://www.gotquestions.org/born-gay.html Again, we can say having to “choose” to be straight because you’re afraid to be vilified is a valid argument and it shouldn’t have to happen. But I disagree with the idea that you are born gay or straight. It’s more sophisticated than just having the genes that make you predisposed to being homosexual or straight.
  9. Show me evidence sexuality is genetic or pre determined and I’ll happily change my opinion.
  10. Sexuality is very much a choice. There is no such thing as a straight or gay gene. Sexuality is fluid. There are many instances of people being straight and then suddenly developing attraction to the same sex and vice versa. To say you are born gay or straight is incorrect. Now, if we’re talking about choosing to be straight to avoid being attacked or to fit in then that’s different and I agree its wrong to not be able to express your true sexuality and often times those aren’t really even choices.
  11. Kevin Polluck, the guy who single handedly won Pens the cup in 2016. It’s incredible how he’s even still allowed to ref. Predators should have won that year if it weren’t for this ref taking a goal away from them.
  12. I think if anything Torts having an issue with players kneeling for the flag but have no issue with players not wearing a the jersey shows what type of person he is. Not Provorov or any player that expresses their freedom.
  13. We don’t know if it’s because he’s truly homophobic or it’s simply because of his religious beliefs (again you can respect and support a group, but not wear their symbol as it’s not who they identify with as). I do agree the problem is that these countries and societies want people to respect their religion but refuse to do the same to others. Majority of these places have backwards thinking and are generally not inclusive to any group/individuals who aren’t part of their religion, and some take their beliefs to radical levels. Here in western society, freedom of expression and freedom of speech is what separates us from the rest of the world. We shouldn’t be forcing people to do western things and get upset that they don’t wish to express those values and views, just like westerners wouldn’t want religious values being shoved down their throats in these such countries. The problem is, freedom of speech and expression is virtually non existent, and so most times you’d comply with societal standards to avoid being punished, which is obviously not okay. If Provorov does happen to be homophobic, it has no place in the game and there should be consequences. But to say he’s homophobic because he chose not to wear the jersey does not equal him being homophobic. I’d assume if you chose not to wear a religious garment in Qatar, it doesn’t mean you hate the person/religion, it’s just because you aren’t religious therefore you wouldn’t feel the need to wear it.
  14. If I’m a liberal but I have 1 viewpoint that is conservative, am I now a selective conservative?
  15. It’s not about hating gays or anything like that. Many religions such as Orthodox Christians and Islam prohibit followers to idolize or symbolize anything that has not to do with their religion/God. I am Bosnian Canadian and so majority of us are either Muslim or Orthodox Cristians church members. Most people will refuse to wear anything that doesn’t represent themselves. If I’m not gay, why would I need to wear an LGBT flag? It’s not about hating them, I respect each and every human being and they’re allowed to do whatever the person pleases, don’t shove down your principles and the same will be reciprocated. Also, people can choose to have selective belief systems, this is why everyone is different.
