  1. 1. Vancouver 2. Montreal 3. Toronto 4. Calgary 5. Winnipeg 6. Edmonton 7. Ottawa
  2. I previously said that Hoglander would get a hatty tonight, but maybe wishful thinking. He could score his first NHL goal tonight, though. The kid has confidence and seems tough to play against. Not afraid to go to the tough areas, but we'll see. This is the NHL kid, keep your head up. Also Juolevi, I just want him to be solid. No glaring gaffs or giveaways, just a solid D game, some nice outlet passes.
  3. Watch for Bergevan to trade Kotkaniemi for Pierre Luc Dubois. Jarmo Kekalainen gets his Fin Marc Bergevan gets his Frenchie
  4. Had to chuckle when I realized that Matt Murray now plays for OTT. He's going to have to face Petey and Brock 9-10 times this year
  5. who? what? we had Toffoli? Never noticed. but seriously, he only played 17 games as a Canuck, including playoffs. He was never really here.
  6. A little iffy about the 4th line: MOTTE - BEAGLE - SUTTER I was actually hoping Motte would get a bit of a promotion to the 3rd line this year. Beagle and Sutter are veterans, but are they fast and physical enough? The bottom 6 wasn't very good in the playoffs and this still needs to be fixed IMO. An improvement with Loui eating popcorn in the rafters, anyway.
  7. If the Canucks can shut down Connie and the German guy, they win. Slight jab from Boeser (towards Jake) regarding the defensive side of the game the last time they played together, so hopefully they're solid. So many things to be excited about with the team this year. Jake's progression Hoglander takes a top 6 spot, he's good An even better Pettersson / Boeser? Gaudette's compete level Schmidt's intensity A stronger Hughes Hamonic's size and grit Juolevi's debut Will Rathbone get a shot? Holtby's comeback (working with Ian Clark) Demko as a starter I'd love to see Hoglander on Pettersson's line at some point. Maybe when Hogz has improved defensively.
  8. TSN did their mock draft, and O'Neil took Hughes with his 3rd or 4th pick. Then he said "I can't believe I got Quinn Hughes!" lol He was saying he thinks he may be the best Dman in the league this year. A rare moment of VAN love from the east.
  9. I recorded and just watched that TSN Season Preview they aired last night. Of course they boasted about the Leafs, thinking their off season moves were genius. When it got to the Canucks, the panel really gave them little chance of making the playoffs this season, saying the loss of Markstrom and Tanev are too great. Button even said that Stecher and Schmidt are basically the same player, so not really an upgrade. They gave Hamonic zero credit. I'm not sure why I even bothered to watch, same ignorance from TSN every year.
  10. I wonder if Miller wishes he stayed with a different team mate. Sucks for him to miss the start of the season, he's so competitive. I just hope the rest of the team stays healthy. They'll just have to adjust, I'm not too worried against EDM, as long as Holtby's solid.
  11. Ehrhoff - Hughes Edler - Edler Hamhuis - Schmidt Bieksa - Hamonic Salo - Juolevi Ballard - Myers I think VAN is close...,if not already there
  12. I can't believe Loui makes 5 times as much, but kidding aside, great signing!! He improves the D game and adds toughness/grit. I have a good feeling about this team this year. Lots of new guys, but they're all good.
  13. This is funny. The Oilers haven't had a Dman as good as Quinn Hughes, since Paul Coffey.
  14. I thought it was pronounced HOG-LANDER, like the pig, but apparently its pronounced HOAG-LANDER? Is this correct?
  15. I used to really want this guy in VAN, but he seems a bit flaky. My guess is the Canucks will move on from him.
  16. My first thought for the 2021 season is: who cares about the American teams? They have their own thing going on. I just hope they don't ruin it for everyone with the laxed COVID protocols south of the border. I'll most likely be very focused on the Canadian division this year, only. (until playoffs)
  17. Hogz is a gamer, he's special, he wants to show what he can do, he's not shy. No one really knows him yet, so watch out!
  18. cheer up Tommy boy, it's going to be okay....
  19. I see an improved Top 6 with the addition of Hoglander and Boeser looking his best so far. I see an improvement to the Bottom 6 with Loui gone, and Gaud and Jake about to take the next step. Not to mention adding Podkolzin to the Bottom 6 down the stretch to the playoffs. I see a big improvement on D, gone are (the man o glass) Tanev and (that smallish hard worker who rarely gets rewarded) Stecher. In is Schmidt, Juolevi, Hamonic and Rathbone. Night and day. And to think the Canucks went on an impressive run last year with a team not as good IMO.
  20. Thanks, they mentioned that there are 33 players left at camp and I count 34 on my list. No big deal.
  21. Are DiPietro, Rafferty and Hawryluk still around?
