  1. I'm pretty happy with the short turn-around to start the next series. Vegas has had several days off, while the Canucks are fired up from last night and ready to continue. Maybe the Nighty-nights come out a little sleepy and the Canucks score early and often.
  2. The Canucks changed hotels, staying closer to the arena now. Sounds like they can't wait to get going against Vegas.
  3. Really hoping DAL and COL kick the crap out of each other, and one teams goes to the next round hobbled. I feel good about the Canucks chances against VGK. I know Vegas is supposed to be the better team, and maybe they were during the regular season, but there is nothing regular about the playoffs this year. The Canucks are dialed in and playing inspired hockey as a cohesive unit. It sounds like there's a goaltender controversy in Vegas too. Canucks have had some success playing against Lehner, and if he collapses like Binner, then Fleury will need to step in, and with his average numbers.... High drama. Should be a lot of fun.
  4. It's a good idea, but I'm not betting against the Canucks No way.
  5. I could see a Gaudreau + to TOR, for Marner to CGY. Maybe CGY also throws in a D, like Andersson and a prospect.
  6. I don't think so. They're the team to beat in the west. Canucks knocked off the defending champs, now they need to knock off the best team. Motte's gonna drive Reaves nuts, hoping Reaves takes some bad penalties. Canucks PP will make them pay. Getting Toffoli back would be a big boost. Looking at their Top 6 compared to ours, and seeing Eriksson...
  7. The dejected looks on the faces of Perron, Pietrangelo and O'Reilly after the game, was proof enough that these playoffs are just as real, if not more difficult, to win in. If VAN wins it all, they will have to win 19 games instead of 16. Every team was healthy to start and there was no travel - no fans. Totally even playing field. These playoffs might come down to which team is more mentally tough to withstand such fierce competition in the bubble, and to keep focused on the prize. STL was disjointed from the beginning. They went 2-7 in the bubble, I believe. SC hangover. The Canucks seem to be laser focused on the prize. Like they said, they're not here to get experience.
  8. It feels like Destiny with this team. Every player is giving 100%, they're all tuned in and they believe in themselves. This team is dangerous. I think Vegas should be concerned.
  9. Well, can't be confident just because Binnington is in. He did win a Cup last year, and could've won the Calder too, afterall. He knows how to win big games. Luckily for the Canucks, he's gotten off to a poor start. Let's hope that continues. Canucks need to score early, shatter his confidence.
  10. That's code for "we don't trust Binnington against the Canucks"
  11. I wonder. It's do or die for the Blues tonight. You'd think they would go with their #1.
  12. I mean c'mon! The BLUES is just really sad, depressing music. Sounds like a fun bunch. It's time for them to leave the party bubble.
  13. I think so? My memory isn't the greatest (thank you cannabis), but I recall the blade hitting Miller's leg, and I was concerned it hit the side/back, where there's less padding. Might've been an accident? Who knows. STL to me, seem dirty, like BOS. They'll do whatever they have to to win, even if that means crossing the line. They're the reigning champs right now and on the brink of being eliminated by some kids lol Berube is probably pi**ed, and being the player he was (a goon) - maybe he orders his players to headhunt and injure if they have to, to win. I'm concerned for Petey and Hughes, but also Markstrom. The Canucks D have to be careful guys like Perron and Schenn do not touch Marky. They'll be crashing the crease.
  14. I kind of remember this play, and thought to myself at the time that it was such a dirty attempt to stop Miller, and then I paid attention to Miller afterwards. Thankfully he was fine. I guess unless he slices the tendon in Miller's leg, then there's no penalty. Pretty sure kicking isn't allowed in hockey. Ridiculous. Thank goodness the blade hit Miller's padding.
  15. Love seeing Virtanen on the top line with Petey, and Eriksson on the 4th. Play with the heart they had in the 3rd period of last game, and they can do this.
  16. Possible? STL starts Allen, VAN scores a couple early. STL pulls Allen and puts Binnington in to save them. Both teams battle back and forth, STL ties it with less than 2 minutes left. Petey scores a beauty to win it with seconds left on the clock (and traumatizes Binnington for life)
  17. I don't think Berube panics and changes back to Binnington. It wasn't really Allen's fault STL lost yesterday.
  18. Hughes - ? Juolevi - Myers* Rathbone - Woo Eliot The (future) D is coming together. Maybe in 2-3 years? * I included Myers, because we still have him for 4 years and with his size and skating, would be good to keep him.
  19. Isn't there a local kid who designed and created these ear guards for hockey helmets using a 3D printer? Edler sure could've used one of those.
  20. Weird moment during the 2nd intermission with the 6-pack panel. I think it was Friedman who was talking about Brendan Gallagher taking that cross-check to the face, mouth filled with blood and missing teeth, they say he's got a fractured jaw. And then Ron MacLean, totally changes the subject and pulls out two hockey cards of the Stewart brothers (Chris and Anthony) and goes on some kind of brotherly hockey card collecting rant lol What a tool, Hope Gallagher is alright.
