  1. If Horvat gets injured and is out for a while, there is no coming back from that for JR. He needs to trade Bo today! This patience game is going to come back to haunt him if he doesn't act fast. C'mon JR, make a move. Who cares about the all-star game/break. Petey is there to rep the Canucks, trade Bo now.
  2. to DAL: (C) Horvat to VAN: (RW/LW) Gurianov, (C) Dellandrea and (LD) Harley Gurianov (25) is struggling this year, but this might be the type of player they're interested in. Has size, was a former #12 overall. He's also an RFA and won't be expensive to re-sign, if they choose to. Dellandrea (22) could step into the #3C spot Canucks need better D with size. Harley (21) is a former #18 overall. Eventually OEL and Myers will be gone: Hughes Harley Dermott - Bear
  3. Yeah, the rest of this nightmare of a season will be about assessing players for next year's roster. Some players that don't fit this mix, or that they can't afford, will be traded. The losses are what they are, there's a lot of work to do, but this is after years and years of previous regimes mishandling the team. They'll get there over time and I hope Canucks fans can be patient and handle the changes. So far some haven't dealt with with it well at all.
  4. Well, now that they've got better coaching behind the bench, now JR needs to make player moves. Out with the softies, in with a playoff roster. (next year)
  5. Softies. I hope JR trades: Horvat, Garland, Boeser and Kuzmenko. I'd love it if they could also trade OEL, but Benning made sure we were stuck with him. Re-sign Schenn, the guy is a wrecking ball and wants to be here. Just put him with a fast D partner. Got a feeling Hoglander won't be a Canuck much longer either. Is it next season yet? This one sucks.
  6. Or maybe JR trades it to get rid of the OEL contract. Ouch The whining and complaining around here should hit an all time high.
  7. Was a little concerned in last night's game, when Horvat got hit on the knee, looked like he was in pain going to the bench. Trade him now.
  8. atta boy Bruce (he'll miss coaching)
  9. Coaching (Foote and Gonchar) will help, and I think they'll still bring in another D, maybe in a Boeser trade. They could also trade Schenn for a younger, quicker D.
  10. I think Aqua owns some too Miller is going to do really well under Tocchet, and the softies will have to leave.
  11. He's only 21, and he's 6'3" 215 Maybe he's struggling this season with the BOS farm team, but this is the kind of player JR was talking about that they'd like to target. Maybe they can develop him properly into a good middle 6C. The real prize coming back is Lysell and a good RD partner for Hughes.
  12. Former Tankers (AKA Bad Teams): Edmonton and Arizona Do we really want to emulate these teams? Where has it gotten them?
  13. Is this Canucks Nation after Boudreau was fired for Tocchet?
  14. Maybe the Canucks have their own Marco Kasper or Aatu Raty type of player in Linus Karlsson? From what I understand, Karlsson plays a skilled, gritty game.
  15. I think they re-sign Kuzmenko $6x3 SEA needs a #1-2C, they're currently a playoff team with the Calder trophy winner (or soon to be) and they will want to take that next step over the coming years. Horvat for Wright+ Wright hasn't worked out so far with them and him still developing isn't going to help them this year, or possibly next. Pettersson Miller Wright Lazar Wondering if they could (or do) bring in Henrik to teach the Cs the finer points of faceoffs and playing effective C? Wright might learn a lot from Hank as well.
  16. Doesn't sound good, but seeing as Miller thinks so highly of Tocchet, I believe he'll change his game, and mold it more like Tocchet's game (with less fighting, because it's 2023) I have a good feeling about what's going to happen over the next 2-3 years. They'll trade Horvat and bring in more good youth. Demko will come back healthy and ready to redeem himself.
  17. Why would anyone wish Petey and Hughes suffer more demoralizing losses? These young guys are super competitive and want to win. It was tough watching Petey, Hughes, Miller all be so frustrated, throwing sticks and looking miserable. You're hoping for that? Would the "cranky tanky" fans be happy if Petey and Hughes wanted out of VAN because of the constant losing? We should be cheering our team on
  18. Canucks are just getting started and Demko will be back after the break. All aboard the bandwagon. Go Canucks Go!
