Garland is on the trade block, hopefully the Canucks can get a deal done.

It sounds like Pettersson and Hughes could be wearing an "A", part of the leadership group.

VGK has gotten progressively worse each year. They started at the top (SCF) with 109 pts, then the next year 93 pts, then 86, then 82 and so far have 74 this year. They'll probably miss the playoffs for the first time, and could be a bottom feeder in a couple of years. I am a fan of this.

If I hear "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" one more time, I'm gonna scream, maybe throw the TV out the window. .

Mighty debatable, subjective question. One could argue the dance/disco thing would hybrid with rock & evolve into some cool tunes..like Stones, Miss You; Wild Cherry, Play That Funky Music etc...
Folks mostly had fun back then, & bands weren't afraid to be different.
But then it could also be it's simply the music(AM, FM) from my youth?

The 80s gave us The Talking Heads at their peak:
Paul's Boutique:
The Smiths
and &^@#ing thrash metal!
The 80s at its best was very very very good. Of course no decade compares to the 70s with what Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyyd brought on their own let alone all the other amazing acts. The 90s is the one decade I'd put up there...yes above the 60s. The amount of new styles of hip hop, punk and rock in the 90s makes it maybe the decade that music most moved forward as a whole.
Just for 90s kicks...some Wu Tang

Is anyone else surprised JR and Allvin haven't done anything yet and continue to move ahead with Benning's roster?

@Tom Sestito Which is still a better pace than what we had going under Green before he was fired. Which says a LOT.

Reality is the chances of us realistically making the playoffs is slim.
Our record is probably the only thing that’s stopping them right now. We’ve been hovering around .500 for awhile now, a middle of the pack team entering the 3rd quarter of the season.
This team can either pull another 7 game win streak out of its ass, or continue to play WLWLWL up until the deadline, in which case if the latter is the outcome, I expect us to sell.
Alvin and co at this point most likely have all the info and scouting reports from top to bottom of this organization. They’re just playing the waiting game.
We won’t see a move until closer to the deadline assuming we are still hovering .500

Is there a thread for CDC to comment on Canucks articles in The Province newspaper? I find I get annoyed by some (most) of the writing (Willes in particular lately) and I've got no where to vent lol

I got the advent calendar from Weeds this year. It's amazing. Happy Birthday Jesus!

With the Sedins gone, and the Canucks having the same D and goaltending as last year, what should we expect?

Like @ReggieBush said... we have a lot of X-Factors. If any of the blossom, we'll be in the playoff picture.
Also, we have 3 dice rolls in net... one must strike as a top 10 goalie? Anders? Marky? Demko?
