  1. How? 2 of three puts us 3 games ahead of Seattle for the last wild card spot.
  2. @RUPERTKBD I'd say Tulo has been pretty consistently putting together quality AB's. Martin's AB's haven't been so consistent but he's come up with some big hits lately so it's somewhat forgivable.
  3. He definitely is a can miss. He's proven absolutely nothing at the pro level, either minor leagues or NHL. The list of players drafted high, or relatively high, that put up great numbers in the CHL or NCAA in their D+1/D+2 years only to become average-at-best NHL'ers is long and inclusive.
  4. I think the Jays choose to let Bautista go and Edwin likely walks to the highest bidder. I wouldn't be terribly surprised to see him re-sign though.
  5. I don't know, I don't think that's really a rookie thing. That's two pretty elementary rules he broke- don't make the first/third out at third base and don't advance to third as an unforced runner on a groundball to short unless the ball is behind you or you can get it behind you.
  6. Yeah but regardless I don't think you make the first out st third base with the meat of the order coming up. Talk about neutering your run producers. They had the best RBI man in the league coming up to bat. Granted, Edwin struck out but hindsight is 20/20. I should add, you shouldn't make the first (or the last) out at third base at just about any time. Sometimes the team is desperate and you have to try, sure. Sometimes you try to advance and a fielder just makes an outstanding play, that happens too. Neither were the case this time.
  7. Travis with another base running brain fart- the exact same one he made about a week ago. I think it was the first out of the inning again too.
  8. I feel ya. I'm currently reading this It's interesting but the content is a little dry (at least the first couple chapters) so when I get to reading I usually want to fall asleep within 20-30 minutes.
  9. I'd throw EE and Bautista in there, even though they're older trades prior to AA. We gave up pretty much nothing for Bautista and Edwin only cost us Scott Rolen, who was good but didn't fit within the framework of the team at the time.
  10. I'd consider posting s picture of myself but there's like four pictures of me post-high school currently in existence. Three of them are of me drunk at a bar when I was 20 and the other is of me naked in a hotel room (for profiling purposes).
  11. I honestly don't know if they were yet. I was a formerly chubby kid finally free of my excess weight who just stepped into an H&M for the first time. It seemed like a good idea.
  12. But were they fashionable for men more than 5 years ago? I owned a cardigan once when I was like 16 (7 years ago now). Nothing against em, just not for me.
  13. What's a man to call it? Men's fashion? And is this worthy of OTG or should it be in WN?
  14. Really the only jeans I've found that fit me well and can still look good enough are the athletic fits from Levi's and Lucky Brand. Most other "nice" jeans tend to be slimmer fitting and I end up looking like a dumb**s. I want to enjoy squats at the gym and still wear a nice pair of jeans, is that so much to ask? Also, seeing as we've more or less derailed this thread- why isn't there a thread for this sort of stuff?
  15. All the models on the frankandoak site are built like teenage girls. That's where I get leery of buying clothes online.
  16. I've gotta ask, as an adult yourself, where do you do a majority of your clothes shopping?
  17. There's a difference between dressing like an adult and dressing like a dad I guess. In the spring I was picking up some pizza from Apollo and much to my chagrin I saw 4 middle-aged men all wearing the standard dad outfit. White New Balance runners, Costco Jeans, North Delta Minor Hockey jacket, and hockey brand ball cap. Three of the four were playing brickbreaker on their BlackBerry's. They were the most beaten down and sad looking shells of men I'd ever seen. At some point in their adult lives their spirits had been broken.
  18. True but the dude you posted is fringing on that territory. Regarding your original point though, I'm 23 and I find it kinda hard to dress like an adult. I think I'm doing a pretty good job but it's tough. Do I have to wear Dockers and Rockports all the time? New Balance running shoes? It's tough.
