  1. I hope Gibby feels good about himself. I usually like him, but f*** you Gibby.
  2. Jesus Christ why wouldn't you bunt there? You'd have JD coming up with runners in scoring position and only one out and EE behind him, i.e.: they HAVE to pitch to Donaldson.
  3. Every team is bound to lose some one-run games but with a sample size that large some blame can start to be placed. I think it's due to the team being largely unable to manufacture runs, something KC did a tremendous job of en route to the WS last year. If they're not hitting home runs and doubles they don't often produce enough offence. And while I totally understand his reluctance to steal bases when you've got hitters like EE and JD in the lineup, sometimes you've gotta throw that philosophy out and do your best to produce a run. Pillar and Upton are both legitimate threats to steal a base. Let em loose once in a while.
  4. Had Hedley not made that play on Donaldson earlier in the game we might've seen a different outcome.
  5. Can't believe we A) extended that dick for another two years, and B ) gave him millions to do it
  6. You're really getting cranky in your old age LB
  7. I don't do any isolation exercises but close grip bench would be one that serves greater purpose than simply building some sexy triceps. Similar to chin ups (I consider chin-ups to be supinated/underhand grip, overhand or neutral grip is a pull-up).
  8. Try close grip bench, it helps a lot of people break plateaus on those lifts.
  9. Yeah, I'll be the first to say Thole is a waste of a roster space but it's not entirely Dickey's fault he's here. Management could find another catcher willing and able to catch the knuckleball who can provide Mendoza level offence. Thole can't even do that.
  10. It's not simply Dickey's request that Thole catches him, it's a built in off day for Martin. Gives the legs a rest and he was hurting the thumb on his catching hand getting handcuffed by the knuckleball.
  11. I really don't understand why anybody would think those lids are a good idea, I just don't. It's just about the most impractical design you could have short of not having a lid at all.
  12. I find Tim's generally has the best lids, in terms of how secure they are when you get the coffee- very underrated aspect IMO. It's a shame their coffee tastes like dirty water more often than not.
  13. Yeah, was only joking. I'm not much of a Starbucks drinker. If I get another coffee from Tim's or McDonald's with the lid not on all the way and it pops off, spilling into my lap when I grab it I'll go nuts. I might even sue. This is is something that annoys me.
  14. Smoak's been mostly useless at the plate this year so I don't really think of him as much of a left-handed bat. He's here mostly to play defense and fan at fastballs like he's having a stroke. Every once in a while he runs into one for a solo shot, or maybe a 2 run bomb, and he trots his large and mostly useless ass around the base with a look on his face so smug that sometimes I just turn the game off and walk away. I hate Justin Smoak.
  15. That's probably the best lineup they can put together but god dam is it screaming for a left-handed bat.
  16. Clearly you've never had the douchebag at Starbucks screw up your order then.
  17. Kiermaier's fast, sure, but what happened to Bautista's arm? That ball barely made it off the turf.
  18. Anybody ever been to Elevation Fitness in Surrey?
  19. If he's hitting for a 300+ average he likely doesn't have the same home run/rbi production. He's hitting all these bombs because he's looking to hit a ball 400+ feet to left field/left centre, not because he's looking to spray the ball around.
