  1. https://www.facebook.com/Canucks/videos/10154255456852145/ Brock's looking strong and athletic. Not sure why the video won't embed.
  2. Shoulda done a "hot dogs or legs?" Pic @LaBamba
  3. Probably hungover from yesterday. I bet he tied one on after getting tossed in the first Only kidding of course. This isn't the Red Sox.
  4. Loving Tulo since he's come back off the DL. Hopefully he can keep it rolling.
  5. Casual NBA fan here...anybody know exactly what happened with O.J Mayo? I assume he has a prior history? And what kind of drugs did he test positive for, PEDs or something else? I remember when he was coming out of college, back when I was a much more devout basketball fan, he was a big deal.
  6. IIRC, at one point the Jays had 9 or 10 backwards K's to the Indians' 1. That's not just a difference in approach between the two teams. It's hard enough to hit major league pitching as it is- you pretty much take he bat out of a batter's hands when you expand the zone like that. Kudos to the Indians staff for exploiting that though.
  7. Probably. Seems to have an ego on him and umps don't like to be shown up to begin with. I noticed he took his mask off at every opportunity, seemed to love the spotlight and love being a storyline. What an ass. every time he rung somebody up on a questionable call mask was off immediately. That's not normal.
  8. I don't even bother to turn it on anymore other than to watch the WJC, the odd NHL game they actually show, or when I'm jonesing to see Kate. They'll turn to Toronto-exclusive coverage soon enough.
  9. Nonetheless it makes me ill Mr. Blunt. How a slightly above average goalie, a prospect who (likely) won't see the NHL for another year or two, and a middle 6 forward constitute a greater improvement than a top 6 forward, middle 6 forward, and top 4(3?) D man is beyond me.
  10. "He'll protect Matthews" I liked what Mike Johnson said about that aspect being totally overrated (when the panel was talking about Looch) and he just got sneered at- even though he's right. The Blackhawks and Pens don't really have anybody like that and they've won 5 of the last 8 Cups. I think they're doing just fine.
  11. You think he needs to ? This is the stuff I lay awake at night and ponder
  12. Who said that? Just willful ignorance. We added a legitimate top 6 scorer coming off of a 30 goal season, a young and still-improving top 4 d man in Gudbranson, and in a sense gain Sutter for next season as well after he hardly played this past year- all this and I don't think JB is done yet either. The Leafs could sign Wisniewski and TSN would be planning the parade.
  13. Downloaded tinder. Now I can sit and judge people on a superficial level without even leaving my house. What a concept.

  14. Usually don't like to complain about jumping- that's just part of baseball and part of why I don't like instant reply too- but some of these calls have been horrendous.
  15. You're not parroting crap about how we "should've had him at 3, maybe 4, years" and I respect that about you riffraff. Keep on keepin' on.
  16. I can agree with the first part there, but where are the goals going to come from? You'd be hinging the season on a lot of "ifs", IMO.
  17. Fair enough. The issue with that is that it doesn't do much to help them compete, which is clearly the MO.
  18. Some of the idealistic replies in the Hamhuis thread yesterday were ridiculous. "Why didn't they give him 2-3 years?"..."Why couldn't they keep him around at a hometown discount?"...blah blah blah
