  1. watching all the comments in response to the "80%"...maybe I'm wrong, but is that not very obviously a joke?
  2. Jamie McLennan absolutely lost it when we picked him, said he has all those intangibles and that certain "je ne sais quoi" and that Thatcher reminded him a lot of Carey Price in the way he carried himself. And he wasn't the only analyst to point out that Demko just seems to have that x-factor of an elite goalie.
  3. Judging off some of your posts/threads I'd rather not.
  4. I can't find a source on either. I seem to remember hearing it as markstrom. Anybody able to find a link?
  5. Yeah he still has to clear waivers to go down even at the start of the year. But as hatedkid said, apparently markstrom plans to go back to Europe if he doesn't have an nhl job next year.
  6. The kid is busier watching "scouting tapes" than a thirteen year old with a brazzers account.
  7. @Dasein Valid point with the Sedins. It did work for the first half of the year but we all know what happened after.
  8. Kinda what I figured. Kamloops is rebuilding after some good years. Just last year they were the second worst team in the league.
  9. It's tough when there's so much delicious Indian food readily available around you in Surrey.
  10. Hahah I have to admit, I laughed at this and felt a tinge of guilt inside. Most of us could have our asses mistaken for chimneys.
  11. Dammit I didn't read that as his points per 60. I read that as point production. My bad.
  12. How in the hell can you say that with any degree of certainty? To me, logic leads me to assume that if he plays more he will score more and I'd say that would hold true for just about anybody in hockey. Even god dam Biz Nasty will improve on his abysmal numbers if he played 15 minutes per night, it's just bound to happen. The odd second assist, lucky bounce in front of the net, etc...
  13. I know he's still young but Gardiner just doesn't look like he'll ever be a reliable NHL d-man. I swear every time I see the Laughs play he's responsible for at least one goal and it's as the result of some very questionable decision making.
  14. Let's also not forget he's playing in the lowest scoring of the three CHL leagues. Ehlers will put up better numbers and playing in the Q is a big part of that so comparing their numbers isn't really fair. He won't even be 19 til august so it seems pretty ridiculous to be giving up on him already.
  15. I'll be over the moon for pretty much anything in the top 10 but I'd love provorov.
  16. Yeah his numbers aren't overwhelming but look at their roster, he's stuck behind a bunch of overagers and older guys. Overage players dominate in junior hockey, even a guy like Prab Rai had a great overage year after despite a pretty pedestrian career to that point. It's just a fact of junior hockey and I'm really not that concerned about the numbers. His assist totals have improved which I like and by all accounts of those who have actually watched him he's improved in many facets of the game he was previously considered to be deficient in. I'm really not worried yet. He's still a very promising prospect (reflected by his #15 ranking by hockey news) and his combination physical skills and offensive tool set aren't seen in many kids his age.
  17. I can't believe you just suggested Harkins is a greater offensive player than Virtnanen
  18. The rest of that is somewhat realistic but good luck getting provorov mid-first with the way he's shot up
  19. but can we shear him for precious wool?
  20. That description reminds me more of another Kings d-man: Alec Martinez. Your description of him (can do a bit of everything but doesn't excel at any one thing) is much like what I read about Roland Mckeown before last year's draft.
  21. this one's probably already done but I'll throw it out there anyway.
