  1. My buddy in Edmonton told me that if you call 811 and tell them you have symptoms consistent with covid-19 they’ll send somebody to your house to test you? if true, wtf.
  2. I think that was more related to the large McDonald's milkshake I drank. It just exacerbated those other symptoms like the fever and chest pain. Now I know my limit is a medium milkshake.
  3. Imagine being Ocean and your sister is Oceania. I think the names will get weirder as we're into Gen Z now and it's normal for kids to be named something like Silver Surfer or whatever.
  4. Yesterday ended up being a little rough. The fever and chest pain got a lot worse in the later hours of the evening. Some nausea and headaches set in. Ended up getting out of bed through the night to vomit. I woke up today with my symptoms feeling more like they did mid-day yesterday, which is unpleasant but definitely manageable. I'm hoping last night was the worst of it. I get that. I know I'll more than likely beat this (if it is COVID that I have) on my own at home, but I'm more concerned with how I could've spread it.
  5. I was kinda disappointed with the answers I got from 8-1-1, 1-888-COVID-19, etc. I was told they won't be testing anybody unless they've come in direct contact with a confirmed case or have recently returned from Iran, Italy, or China. Seems like a totally underwhelming response. I can only imagine how many cases are walking around Canada undetected right now.
  6. I play Franchise almost exclusively (haven't played in 2-3 years though) with the odd venture into Online Vs, 3's, etc. 90% Franchise Mode though.
  7. Now that you guys have had the game for a few months, what's the verdict? I need something to do. As tempting as it is to watch Arrested Development or The Office for a sixth time, I think I'd like to try something else.
  8. I remember when I was maybe 5 or 6 years old (born in '93) I went to an event at the Agrodome or something like that. Each player had a table somewhere on the floor with Messier and Naslund being somewhere else off of the floor and fans needing to pay ~$10 to meet them and get an autograph. All the other players were free to meet. I was a really shy kid and pretty undersized even for my age so I was really intimidated by the whole thing and very timid when it would be my turn to meet the players. I remember they were all friendly enough but pretty much just signed my stuff and moved on- understandable given the size of their lineups and the time allowed. What I'll always remember the most is meeting Todd Bertuzzi. I was particularly scared of him because he's huge and tattooed. He saw I was nervous so he came out from behind his table, knelt down on one knee so he was sorta almost kinda my size and spent a few minutes talking to me. Gave me a nice personalized autograph and took a picture with me (still on one knee). I'll see if I can dig up the picture but I fear it might've been destroyed and thrown out when a pipe burst in my parents' basement back in 2012. I always was and always will be a big fan of Bert because of that.
  9. Developed a fever yesterday afternoon/evening and woke up this morning with a dry cough, chest congestion, and wheezing in my breath. I guess statistically it's likely to just be a cold but I can't help but wonder. Getting through to that 8-1-1 number is painful. I'm 4 hours into day one of self-isolation and I'm bored as hell, but on a more positive note my dogs couldn't be happier to see me stay home from work.
  10. For some people, that’s your only chance of getting laid though
  11. Any Subaru owners on these boards? What’s your experience been like?

good for you @Sean Monahan I don't think you'll regret it at all, you'll be blowing  Yaris' off the road in no time.

I've been trying a lot of cars lately, trying to find one that has a a decent plug in electric range along with AWD of some variety. Thats why I tried the Crosstrek they supposedly have one coming. I'm waiting for the Rav 4 phev to come out so I can try that one next.

Sean i think youll appreciate the practicality of the Forester.  I'm assuming it's an XT since you said it's supercharged  (they're actually turbo, not supercharged but w/e).   We have 2 Subarus in our household,  an older Impreza still going strong and a 17 Forester which, although I'm not thrilled with the cvt -especially since the Impreza is manual - ,  has done everything we've asked it to do flawlessly.   You mentioned you weren't happy with the power of the Crosstrek,  I'm wondering if the dealer informed you that the '21 model year Crosstrek's were likely getting larger motors - probably from the current Forester?

Anyway,  enjoy the Fozzy,  my advice is to get some proper dedicated snow tires  (we use studded), and that thing will essentially be unstoppable in all but totally apocalyptic weather conditions.

  12. Proud to say my buddy and his friend were the hat throwers on Mack’s second goal. I think we (the collective fanbase) need to make the maritime hat trick a real thing and toss hats every time Mack scores two goals while in a Canuck uni.
  13. I wonder if it was also a favour from NJ to Domingue to give him a chance to showcase himself. He’d been demoted, this gives him a chance to play some NHL games this year and show what he can do after a relatively unsuccessful stint with a poor NJ team earlier this year.
  14. What a piss off. I hope they track them down if only to ensure that they never own an animal again. How heartless can you be. My big guy was found abandoned in a rental unit in Kamloops. He was on the verge of death, totally emaciated at 105 pounds. He’d resorted to eating drywall. When I adopted him at 150 he was still very thin with his ribs, hips, and spine clearly visible so I can’t imagine what he looked like 45 pounds lighter. There’s a special place in hell for people who do this sort of stuff to animals.
  15. The fact he was actually put in a commercial (and presumably paid for it) is ridiculous. Who cares about this guy?
  16. Hopefully they can hold the lead til the intermission and Mrazek can come back. Edmundson settling the score with Clifford now. What a beauty.
  17. Former junior B goalie coming in for Carolina in an emergency situation
  18. Three unanswered goals for Carolina against Toronto. Excellent.
