All types of carries are some of my favourite exercises. Not enough people do them. Farmer carries, suitcase carries, overhead carries, etc. Awesome stuff. They’ll get you strong in a safe way too.

Deadlifts work your spinal erectors like crazy, probably more than any other exercise you could do, so it would make sense. Any time I’ve done DL’s after not doing them for a while I’m sore as hell all up my posterior. Are you doing like a lunge/split squat hold? I do those for some rec fem activation and they work like a charm.

Sore or painful? Some muscular soreness would be very normal.

I prefer eccentrics to isometrics myself but there’s definitely a time and place for both. Isometrics are a great way to hammer in form and full body tension. I’m no expert, by any stretch, but I believe I’ve read eccentrics are very beneficial for rehab/prehab stuff.

What I’m saying is Campbell has pretty pedestrian numbers this year on a defensively better team. How will he fare in Toronto? Tough to say, goalies can be hard to predict. Time will tell. Leafs fans hate him. Dubas loves him based on analytics and has said as much on the record. Most Leafs fans blame their underwhelming season on Ceci and Hutch.

Leafs lose and Flyers win, both in regulation. It’s a good night. -
I get where he's coming from. It's not that the time is bad, which they are- his frustration comes from the fact that they've been bad for quite some time and don't really show signs of much improvement. Points-wise, sure, they're better but they're still very, very far from being competitive. You have a top 10 forward in the league and you can't crawl back into a competitive window. You just signed Jeff Skinner to a boat anchor contract. The organization let Robin Lehner walk in 2018, only to watch him become a Vezina runner-up while you've put your eggs in the Carter friggin Hutton basket. Arguably your best d-man has been the center of trade rumors for well over a year now. You traded ROR for scraps and watched him go on to become even better and win a SC after leaving town. One player (one of the scraps you acquired for ROR) was even so put off by the idea of playing in Buffalo that he just outright quit and walked away from millions after getting traded there. And to top it off, you have an owner who's too cheap to spend a little extra money for the greatest players in your franchise's history, who also happen to be members of the HHOF, to wear authentic jerseys. I'd totally understand if any Sabres fan wanted out.

Just read through it and it’s definitely heavy on the salt. Rigged officiating (didn’t STL have more PP’s?), fluke goaltending performance by Demko, the weird skinny alien kid is overrated and Binnington should’ve got the Calder, etc. They’re also claiming the Schwartz high stick on petey (which saw Schenn go to the box) was on his elbow or shoulder, saying Petey should be fined for embellishment. Anyone got a replay of that? -
Merely pointed it out. Also somewhat puzzled as to why you don’t think Chabot is noteworthy. The original point I was trying to make is that you selected 2015, which is now known to be a rather strong draft year. 2020 is projected to be but it’ll be a few years before we know if it really is or not. The strength of the draft year that TBL gets the pick is worth noting in this discussion. and for the record, I’ve liked the trade since day one. Even if we do give up our 2020 pick (which I had originally hoped would be another top 10 pick given the projected strength of the draft class) it’ll be in the latter half of the first round. At that point in the draft you’re dam lucky to find a player of JT’s caliber anyway.

So then why is it now or never ?
-
I don’t think you can say there’s a cut and dry template for when he should or shouldn’t be ready.
-
Which would mean he wasn’t a starter until his late 20’s. So why is it now or never for Demko?
-
Ironic seeing as the current starting goaltender we’re discussing didn’t come into form himself until his late 20’s.
