  1. Colter Wall’s pretty solid too. Childers just has such a cool voice. The opening lines of Whitehouse Road had me instantly hooked.
  2. Was it the only squat rack? And how much were you pressing ?
  3. Or, yknow, if you’d watched any of the half dozen-ish games he’s played in a Canucks uniform (or any games he’s played in the last 3 years which, evidently, you haven’t) you’d know he’s not a third liner. To say that is completely asinine. Maybe stick to starting threads. We haven’t had one of your doozies in a while.
  4. Bit of a thread bump here... anybody listen to Tyler Childers? He’s absolutely fantastic. Even friends of mine who despise country have gotten into him.
  5. I wouldn’t say it’s just the four point game. I think right from the preseason through Wednesday night Miller has been very good. Probably our best forward so far and clearly brings elements of speed, size, physicality, and skill that the team needed.
  6. I don’t think it’s as simple as making or not making playoffs. If they miss playoffs AND win a top 3 pick in the lottery then yeah it might be a bad trade, but if that pick is anywhere from 10 or below (maybe up to 8 or below) then it’s a very good or at least fair trade. And I think it’s almost certainly going to be 10 or lower.
  7. If you look st expected values for first round draft slots, we’d be doing very well to get a player as good as Miller from 10th onwards.
  8. Well the rumour was that an LE for Neal or Looch trade was explored but the Canucks didn’t want to take on that extra year of term or a possible NMC.
  9. Personally I’d love to see Strasburg and Scherzer go head to head with that Yankees lineup.
  10. Might be time for you to consider a home gym.
  11. Lost the first two but didn’t they start off 6-3-1 or 6-4-1, something along those lines? looks like it was 6-3-1
  12. Also don’t forget that they started off hot last year too. Riding McDavid and Drai like rented miles can seemingly last only so long.
  13. Newton. Not sure if there’s any others.
  14. I guess it depends which goal you want to priority? Kinda tough to serve two masters at once. Personally I’d gravitate towards the weight loss and leanness over the strength gains unless you’re doing something that requires the strength (sports, powerlifting, whatever).
  15. This And this Are gonna be tough to do simultaneously.
  16. And it’s still possible that, if Baer clears, we see him recalled and Eriksson sent down seeing as the cap savings would then be the same.
  17. The way I look at it- a guy like say, Joey Gallo, has more value hitting a solo home run than a dinky single. The stats back it up. At the end of a 162 game season this approach will ultimately produce more runs than trying to slap a ball the other way for a single, even if the OBP and batting average suffer a bit.
  18. Lol that would be brutal. I can only imagine the DOMS. I’d venture to say that the vast majority of the general population doesn’t have the mental fortitude to follow the true tabata protocol. It’s just brutally hard. But even doing it the way you’ve said is hard as hell and still quite effective.
  19. Semantics here but I’d contend that most people don’t run true tabata style. It was intended to be done at absolute max effort for 20 seconds followed by 10 seconds rest. The studies were done on Olympic-level speed skaters. Your average joe in the gym is probably doing that 20 seconds of work at more like 80-90% rather than the prescribed 100% (I’d say I’m guilty of it myself). Still very hard, but not what the protocol actually calls for. At that point it’s more just circuit training than true tabata.
  20. @bishopshodan this is a really good one if you’re in a time crunch. Intensity can be varied with added weight, faster running, etc. Sub stuff out as you see fit. https://www.military.com/military-fitness/workouts/circuit-training 20 Minutes Circuit Workout Bench press* or pushups - max in 1:00 Squats - max in 1:00 Pullups or pulldowns - 1:00 Bike or jog - 3:00 Military press* - 1:00 Lunges - 1:00 each leg Bicep curls - 1:00 Bike or jog - 3:00 Tricep extensions.- 1:00 Leg ext - 1:00 (requires leg machines - or repeat squats with weights) Leg curls - 1:00 (requires leg machines - or repeat lunges with weights) Situps - 2:00 Crunches - 2:00 Stretch
  21. Makes sense. Didn’t catch the waiver eligible vs waiver exempt part there.
