  1. Would you rather they sit there and stare at the floor? Either way you’ll have to approach them and ask to work in or how many sets they’ve got left or whatever.
  2. Why? It’s a rest period. Resting is what they’re doing. If you ask to work in and get told no or they’re taking outrageously long rests then I can see this being an issue but otherwise I don’t care what they do between sets. Watch Netflix. Knit. Do your makeup. Doesn’t make a difference to me.
  3. Yeah I’d say it’s my favourite protein, I just couldn’t justify spending that much more compared to other brands. I should keep my eyes open for sales.
  4. Really good stuff and most of the flavours taste great but I find the price point a bit rich. If budgetary concerns aren’t an issue then yeah, great choice. Personally, I order off of myprotein. They run some pretty great sales a couple of times each month so the prices end up being great. Just last week I got 11 pounds of whey for $80, including shipping and tax. Tough to beat that. Also, canadianprotein runs some decent sales as well. When I order from them I usually go with the clearance section (expired, overstock, etc) and the prices are good.
  5. I’d like to see Goldy play like a bat outta hell tonight. I’m not counting on it happening, but it would make for a good story.
  6. FWIW, Matthew says Brady is tougher and meaner and won most of their scraps growing up.
  7. Wonder if somebody takes a shot at Bittner. Fairly recent second round pick who had some first-round consideration in his draft year.
  8. Don’t think it’s suitable for this thread but wasn’t sure where else to put it. Kaillie Humphries is a nut. https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.thestar.com/amp/sports/amateur/opinion/2019/09/17/bobsled-champion-kaillie-humphries-has-almost-nowhere-to-turn-after-courtroom-power-play-hits-the-wall.html True to her nature, Kaillie Humphries tried. She made it clear at the 2018 Olympics that she was not happy with Canada’s bobsled program. Later that year, she filed a harassment claim against her coach. This year, she filed a lawsuit in the hopes of forcing an exit from Canada to compete for the United States. The lawsuit wasn’t even the equivalent of a bobsled crashing; it was like trying to drive a bobsled on a highway. Still, the three-time Olympic medallist gave it a go. As someone who knows her well once said, she sees almost everyone as competition. And today Kaillie Humphries should be looking around at piles of ash and wondering, at age 34, if she has run out of bridges to burn.
  9. Konecny spends a lot of his time on the wing if I’m not mistaken.
  10. But doesn’t his cap hit get prorated as well? I seem to remember Nylander’s cap hit being something like $10 million because he signed halfway through.
  11. It was, so he went out and hired a dietician who thoroughly assessed him and laid out an intensive diet plan for Nate to follow (which he does). He did that at a younger age than Jake.
  12. Maybe it means absolutely nothing in the end but I thought he actually looked a little fluffy in that video.
  13. Which takes that lineup from really bad to instant contender.
  14. What if a 23 year old RFA simply doesn’t want to play for that organization anymore and decides their number is $14m per year, when in reality they’re more like an $8m per year player, and thereby bully themselves into unrestricted free agent status. If people complain about the college senior rule now, they’d lose their minds over this one.
  15. If Bo was truly captain material he’d be out there today. Probably time to start looking elsewhere for the next captain.
  16. Same point totals in the last two seasons while on a weaker offensive team. He led his team in scoring each of the last two years. His PPG is lower but the fact that he hasn’t missed a game in that time counts for a lot. He’s also able to slot in at centre at times which (I imagine) would up his value a bit. I expect his point totals to climb this year playing with Phil the Thrill. Not to mention the fact he signed long term.
  17. @Hutton Wink @SID.IS.SID.ME.IS.ME Say they go with the 22 man roster. Gives me just over 7 million to work with I believe? I’m imagining Brock will come in around 6.5-7 unless he signs a one or two year deal, so that doesn’t leave them with much wiggle room for call ups does it? Roussel on LTIR seems like a temporary fix to me. I see that they’ll have enough to get Boeser’s deal done but, to me, it just doesn’t seem like enough room to go into the season with. Might they try to move some salary?
  18. So capfriendly shows them at 4.16 with a 25 man roster. So cut two, assuming they’re both contracts equal to or bigger than 1.025, and we’re at 6.21. Where does Boeser fit in? or is there some CBA stuff I’m not getting here. @mll, @SID.IS.SID.ME.IS.ME?
  19. What’s the difference? Domi for Gally? I don’t see that being a huge deal for Keller’s sake as Domi wasn’t doing a helluva lot in the desert anyway. Arizona has Phildo now too.
  20. Who cares about PPG if Boeser isn’t in the lineup. Keller lead his team in scoring too. There’s every reason to think he’d match or exceed Boeser in PPG if he was in the same scenario.
  21. He has more points than Boeser in the last two years (by one, but still) and hasn’t missed a game in that time.
